People say it felt rushed, but we know he had a dream at the start of episode 3 and in episode 4 he is a wreck of a person. He is hiding in his study, can't even look at woman "performing" for him, getting drunk to block his thoughts.. every time he was shown in the episode 4 you could feel that torment in his head.

I can truly say this is the best first kiss in the entire Bridgerton universe for me. It’s vulnerable, it’s delicate, it’s passionate, it’s very conveying of every emotion it was meant to bring out. A nightcap on pen’s weary and embarrassing day but an illuminating moment for Colin’s hibernating feelings. The kiss was the spark he didn’t know he needed, completely changing the trajectory of his life 🤭 oh it is a beautiful kiss I have watched over and over and I do not intend to stop anytime soon. Brava! 👏

You can see his whole world changing. Like there is such a shift in his emotions at that moment, you can see how much that kiss has affected his entire world view. Coupled with what we read in his journal about distance despite intimacy…you can see a marked difference here. There’s no distance, his whole body is on fire, his life has irrevocably changed as of this moment.

But no he goes back in and shows her what it’s really like to be kissed thoroughly. And that’s his choice!!! He didn’t need to feel obligated for that second part of the kiss. And honestly who can see that and claim they’re just friends lol

@@radsical1392 Yes! I thought I was the only one that noticed that he could have stopped after the first short brief kiss, but he looked her in the eye and then went right in and kissed her for real. That was definitely his choice. You could tell he was spiraling emotionally at the point Pen said thank you. Then when he pulled back and we saw his face, we could see his whole world was crashing down around him. It was at that precise moment that I realized Colin had it bad and he was going to a man in shambles.

THIS. THIS is how you adapt an iconic book scene and retain its essence while having your own spin on it. From the dialogue lifted straight from the pages, the way Nicola and Luke so perfectly capture the subtle emotions and looks of Pen and Colin, the gorgeous background score which amplifies the tenderness, yearning and sweetness of the moment, IT WAS SO WELL DONE. I was simultaneously screaming and crying in joy, it is by far my favourite Bridgerton kiss ever because of how they brought it to life right out of the book onto the screen ❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥺🥺🥺

And from that moment, he was tormented by his thoughts of her .. He finally, finally realised she's a woman .. 👏👏👏 Colin

I found this moment to be one of the most erotic, romantic moments in the entire series. Penelope was filled with despair and self hatred. She didn't think anyone could love her. So in her most vulnerable moment, she asked Colin - the man she's in love with, her best friend - to kiss her. She didn't think it would make him feel anything towards her, because she had given up on this idea. And indeed, Colin didn't think he felt anything towards her too. But he loved her, and it pained him to see her suffer. So he agreed. And then they kissed, and everything dissolved into nothingness. All of their prejudices, their ideas of one another. They got lost in a moment of true connection. It's just so special to me. This moment of tenderness, of finding something you didn't know you were missing - it's just so precious.

This could probably be one of the most beautiful first kiss scenes I have ever seen until now

I can't describe how perfect this first kiss was. Slight hesitation, tender, soft and loving. The look on Colin's face when she walks away, he knows everything has changed. And yes, the music made me lose it. 😭😍🔥

It’s the fact that after the first kiss he went in for more like come on Mr. Bridgerton about damn time

Nicola’s delivery of her request is so beautiful and also shows some of the bravery of this character that we don’t get to see outside of Lady Whistledown. I was overwhelmed with emotion and giddiness from this scene.

This might be my favourite first kiss onscreen ever. The tenderness in this scene 💕

This was the kiss that I didn't know I needed to witness. When Colin realized that he wanted more, I was like 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

This scene honestly made me cry a little. More than enough people feel like Penelope. She wants to know what it is like to have a kiss at least once in her life. She truly believed Colin wouldn’t feel anything from it but he most certainly did. This kiss broke him down to finally see what Penelope truly is to him. Penelope sees him for him, not as a hunting ground for land, rank and titles like most of the others in society. Colin wants someone to laugh with, clever, different and be who he wants to be, not what society expects him to be. Penelope is exactly that person for him and he finally saw it the moment she walked away. Love this scene. Thanks for uploading.

I was surprised that I actually cried too cause it felt like something I’ve wanted to say and felt myself for my entire life!

This scene is just beautiful. It's so innocent & pure. The music makes it even more amazing. I love how Pen says Thankyou & walks away. Colin realises his true feelings for her in that moment. Just magic!!

They met as little kids and she was an instant honorary Bridgerton. Violet and Anthony are protective of her in the books and all siblings, including Colin, saw her as one of them. It wasn’t until this moment that he was able to even consider her as a woman and not a dear family friend. He already loved her, he just didn’t know he was allowed to love her in this way.

This is the best kiss in bridgerton

I think we can all relate to Penelope on some level Being Lady Whistledown one might think that she's this super confident person but deep down she's afraid that she's unlovable, that what everyone says about her being a bluestocking spinster is true She didn't expect to ever have Colin's love. She just wanted someone to make her feel like she isn't completely unattractive. Like she truly deserves love. And so she asked a favor of a friend. And it paved the way for so much more. I think we all want to feel that we are worthy of love, despite all our flaws.

when she said "thank you" I burst out in tears and I don't know why 😭

The way she runs away leaving him stunned and wanting more is everythinggg 💥 click-boom-pow 💥

Everything about this scene is absolutely perfect. EVERYTHING. From the costumes and the set, to the acting and writing, but what really ties it all together is the _music._ That soft, bittersweet violin melody that shifts into full orchestra as Colin moves closer, still quiet, but then it builds... and builds... and BUILDS... until, as their lips touch ever so gently, you're back to that one soft violin note. You hold your breath along with them, and then... SWEEPING SYMPHONY OF FEELS AS THEY COME TOGETHER AGAIN!!! And you can see, hear, _feel_ both of them losing their ever-loving minds at this simple, still quite PG-rated kiss. I just... it's perfect. Perfect, perfect, PERFECT!! 😍😍😍

No matter how many times I watch this, it just gives this tingly feeling all over every single time and my heart swells like it's gonna burst. At least the crying has reduced from a full-blown sob to tears now! Is this sorcery or some kinda drug?!

I'd kiss a friend of they were this shattered like Penelope. It is basically like a goodbye almost (on her part I mean). Plus, he was in a threesome before that, surely a kiss on the lips isn't that much of a big deal 😂😂😂
