Possible Unpopular Opinion: I actually preferred Anthony/Kate over Daphne/Simon. I just enjoyed watching them together more, and felt like the actors had more chemistry. 💘

This story line was more mature and complex than the first. It pulled the audience in more emotionally than Simon and Daphne. Jonathan Bailey is so exceptional and made this story come to life. Every look, the pitch and pace of his voice. I know it's a guilty pleasure show but this man is exceptional at his craft

He did wonderfully, but i think they did both starring protagonists a disservice by completely changing the story from the book, excluding Anthony and Kate's constant conflicts.

yeah... i'm gonna need jonathan bailey to star in anything romantic i watch from now on cuz the way he is one of the best romantic leads i've ever seen. it's actually wild. every expression, every line delivery, every LOOK (!!!), every smile, his mannerisms, his body language, EVERYTHING was just pure perfection. the WAY he delivered his speeches to kate every time as if his want was constricting his throat reducing it to a pained whisper, like it was taking everything in him not to give into it. AN ACTOR. this man is a menace! i could talk about him and these two forever.

Why do all these summary videos SKIP the best scene?! Episode 8 when Anthony finds out that Kate is awake after her accident. The raw emotion and relief coming from him... you just feel it. And that Violet recognised it, because that was the feeling she didn't get to have. The love of her life died. I've seen that scene over and over and over and over again.

Anthony had such a strong personality that he needed someone like Kate who could challenge him like Daphne said. Kate is an older sibling and they share that 'burden' / responsibility of being the leader of their families. Edwina sweet as she, is just too boring for Anthony. I do not mean this as a diss, but he needed someone who understood him in a way that Kate did. I feel like any one in a leadership position needs a spouse they could lean on. Kate was a rock that could keep him standing under the pressure while Edwina was a soft pillow that would put him to sleep lol And WHEW, WHEN HE TOLD HER TO GO INSIDE , HE LOOKED LIKE A LION ABOUT TO ATTACK 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵 we all needed water after that fire because giiirrrll, I couldn't breathe either. Also, just rewatched season 1 (after being obsessed with season 2 and watching that several times), let's just say Anthony was better groomed in season 2 - he looked like a king ready to meet his queen, whereas season 1 his hair and sideburns were out of contro, it was truly shocking and I noticed them a lot because of the contrastl! I think this was strategic to not make us pine for him until his own season of love!

Kate: "Your character is as deficient as your horsemanship." Anthony: *falls in love*

Kate is soo striking, so sharp. She did justice to this role. She added so much depth. Even when she seemed selfish, and Edwina was in pain, i was already in love with her and was rooting for her happiness.

This is far more better then the first season. Loved both of them.

The story arc for Season 1 could only be resolved after the marriage whereas Season 2's resolution was the marriage itself. Rege choosing to not be on the show is why he wasn't in the second season while Daphne was. Expect next season, since the actors that played Anthony and Kate signed on for the next season, to have a lot of happy and married stuff with them. Note, Anthony is the head of the household...and some how they are going to have to teach Kate how to run things. That is a story in of itself.

I've never seen an actor control his facial expressions like Johnathan Bailey. It's like you can actually feel what he's feeling in the moment. Simone Ashley is the same way. Their chemistry leaves you speechless!!!!🌷🌷🌷

Can't explain how much of a PHENOMENAL job Jonathan and Simone have done!!! Now this is what an authentic love story is, filled with all the emotions. They have my heart indeed!

Anthony trying to be a "Gentleman" through this whole series is so strong and emotional. My heartaches for Anthony and Kate. The way they needed each other. This season has been such a rollercoaster of emotions for me. I enjoyed every second of Anthony and Kate storyline. I can't wait for S3 to come.❤️😍

The show only wants to show the tension and less on those things which is nice but also it made some book reader mad. 😅 they want that scene to be shown. I will say, after episode 3 or 4, the show is no longer following the book. The next episodes are completely new, reasons why some fans are not having it.

@@strawberrycherrybaby also, there are 8 books! Each book concentrate on each bridgerton sibling. The first one being Daphne, second one is Anthony, then Benedict, Colin and so on. Soooo it means, season 3 will probably be BENEDICT.

i have to say that i started reading the book and I'm quite far in and i really don't like it , i really enjoy some of their banter but that's about it😓

I’ve watched ALL Kate & Anthony after the show. I can’t get enough of them !

The chemistry was out of scale. And Jonathan was the true diamond of the season.

The most beautiful development of Anthony is that he didn't believe in love, he was unhappy and serious in the first season, he had an affair with Siena and then came Kate and change his world and point of wiew about being in love with someone. She is her true love😭❤

At first I was not sure about s2 after seeing Daphne and Duke but the chemistry between Anthony and Kate feels so real ,I just can't get enough of them❤ every scene of them is breathtaking ,I was literally getting butterflies in my stomach and Anthony is mesmerizing throughout the season.

I don’t know how they can come up with a better couple in the next season. The chemistry between these two are offfff the chart . I was melting when she walked past and he lingered. Oh the slow burn 🔥

I read the book years ago and while season 2 wasn’t an exact adaptation of the book these two still managed to capture Kate & Anthony and their love. I’ll never get over these two! 😭 💕🌷

Kates eyes, expressions, voice is so enchanting. I close my eyes and can still see her looking at him like it’s just them two in the whole world. I can’t wait to see her in more shows

They way he looks at here gets me EVERYTIME. I’ve always hated romance plots in shows because they were always dull, boring, and just made me want to skip past them. I found that in this show, the romance between these two is all I wanted to watch and I didn’t care much for anything else. IT WAS SO WELL DONE and the actors are amazing and have great chemistry!

I need someone who is obsessed with me as much as Anthony is obsessed with Kate.

The actor who plays anthony is so talented his eyes say much more than his words could ever... he has so much control over himself and you can see it in the way they darken when he feels desire and soften when he looks at kate with admiration. it's just perfect

I have watched this season more than 10 times. When it ends I just start it over.

His character development in the last season and this season has now made him one of my favourites. Incredible chemistry and I much prefer this season over the last.

The writers of Bridgerton learned the basic rule of fans and ships. Fans will always ship the first coupling unless someone better comes along, however rare that is. In this instance, they were sad about Anthony and Siena not getting together, but when Kate came along, it was "Who was Siena again?"

He is the perfect embodiment of every Regency era romance hero. I want to reread every regency story and picture him as the hero. I am OBSESSED

Their chemistry was amazing! The actors harmonized beautifully and I could feel every sorrow, sadness, sexual tension, happiness, relief etc. so intensely - very talented lead couple. I cried so many times with them. Season 2 definitely won over 1 one for me.

The scene with the bee had my heart. This was the best bridgerton couple and season❤

enemies to lovers is, was, and always will be the superior trope

This relationship was such a journey. From every glance, stare and conversation it grew to something beautiful. The acting was phenomenal between them and the chemistry made you believe ❤️

The way he looks at her is just so AHHHHH the chemistry between both actors really made me fall in love with the show 🥹

I wish this love story could’ve been even just a teensy bit longer… 😩 “The things I could teach you.” Damn 🥵

This season was 🔥 🔥 !!!!! Simone and Jonathan’s chemistry was on point! So freaking good! Because of them, I’m in love with this tv-series. They better be in every seasons of Bridgerton!

THE FORBIDDEN LOVE STORY OF THE CENTURY OH MY GOSH!! Seriously Anthony and Kate's story & relationship has become one of my ALL-TIME FAVORITES!

It's just crazy how much Anthony smiles when Kate is around! He was such a sourpuss in the previous season and it's lovely to see the effect Kate has on him in this season

The physical characteristics of Kate is different from the books, however she captured the perfect essence of Kate that made it so convincing.

@@Sarah-ss6fr just read the book- i think Kate was witty (part of what he liked) and didn't like her sister with Anthony. Think Simone captured Kate perfectly. They also captured the pall mall match well.

Favourite couple Kate Sharma and Anthony Bridgerton in Bridgerton! I love their love stories in novel and also in the series. I enjoyed watching every scene kate and anthony fighting, talking, arguing & finding love for each other. Simone Ashley as kate just perfect!

I actually loved this season, I think so much better than season one. Kathony's chemistry was off the charts!!

The scene where he says, the things I could teach you. STAHHHHHP. So f'n hot.

I think it’s unhealthy how many times I’ve watched this season! 😩 Oh well, I’m off to watch it again! Lol

"Do. Not. Stop." Wow. The timing of the delivery so the last word is barely out before the kiss. And the garden scene before the fireworks. Has there ever been a better written, better acted, love scene? Once again, Kate barely gets her line out before the kiss. Immaculate timing and so perfectly delivered. What a phenomenal performance! I'm obsessed with this actor's talents.

4:23 This was one of my favorite scenes in the whole season. I love their chemistry, how she feels so comfortable with him.

Superb acting by both Bailey and Ashley!! They should redo all of Jane Austin’s books together!

I love the bee sting scene where she goes from exasperation to annoyance to worry to caring for him to a deer in headlights look to falling into his eyes and forehead brushing, mouth near touching - damn it bridgerton you have set the bar high high - for romances leads but I love you for it 🥰

I still can't get over this show ever since I finished watching it. I especially love their dance scenes. It was so beautiful. That last scene is so perfect and beautiful it makes me cry every time.

Everytime I see them together on screen, I see their magical chemistry. It's brilliant! They are excellent actors 😄

Not me needing to watch this whole season over again because im too invested in this couple 😅. I really did not think it would beat season one, I thought Daphne and Simons chemistry was on another level. I was so wrong! it was equally entertaining if not more watching these two together. The actors in this show are amazing! Simone is absolutely stunning.

The way this season has LESSER sex scenes yet it left me on the edge of my seat!!! Scorching!!! Love the way they resist each other - Anthony trying his best but couldn't help it! His eyes always shows longing, pain, desire, my good Lord. 😭❤️ Love them more so much, i wish they had a lot more screentime! Too many sideplots in this season. Love these two. They're the reason I'm going to watch S3 and the other upcoming seasons.

I love how by the end EVERYONE knows they're in love and yet Anthony and Kate still sort of tip-toe around it and are surprised and relieved to find that their affection is reciprocated. It's like if only they could see how they were with each other then they could be sure, but because they were living it that doubt sets in.

In absolute love with Simone Ashley and the chemistry these two have in the show and in interviews.

Love the transition of Kate and Anthony’s looks becoming more relaxed as the series continued. Also appreciate the bright, fun styling of Eloise, Colin, and Benedict!

He defined himself to her....he made it clear that he is not asking for marriage because he compromised her..but bcz he loves her..and he would marry her , compromised or not...the best definition to regency drama yet..

Binged the entire show today, and despite the late kiss (imo) I enjoyed this season! The cast was brilliant, Jonathan’s performance was incredible. And I’m SO GLAD they changed Anthony’s hair this season

I admit I wasn't on the Bridgerton bandwagon for season one with everyone else in the world. I found the relationship between Simon and Daphe forced and underwhelming. But Anthony and Kate's chemistry rang true, made possible only by the brilliant acting of Jonathan and Simone. The deserve a raise. And more screentime in Season 3!

Both of their hands touching each other’s hearts was so perfect, the tone of their voices, the way they look at each other, their in sync breathing - ELECTRIFYING 😍😭
