It’s a commuter rail system, that runs through the city center in a tunnel, so yes kinda like an RER.
SL trafiken is shit.

@@austriankangaroo Because of constant "we dont have enough personel" and "this train is now canceled". Each year they keep raising the ticket price but the standards keed dropping. Its shit.
