Perfect timing! I have a spiral bound planner which I like to write in with multi color pens. I was just trying to figure out a way to be able to carry the pens around with it other than clipping each one to the cover. This is a great quick sewing project. Thanks, again!

Thank you for this easy project. I will be making some for Christmas gifts 🎁. A tip.....use the double sided sewing tape that washes out to hold the zipper while sewing which eliminates the need for pins. Much easier and the zipper won't shift. Happy sewing.

I just made this. Thank you for your clear and detailed instruction. I did a sewing project before this that needed interfacing as well and they did not specify, but i did in fact iron it on my cutting mat for that one :( My only thing is I wish I could also see the sewing process along with it. Also I tried an unsharpened wooden pencil, it only fit diangonally.

Hi Sheryl, I love the easy pencil case that slips on books. Did you take the cover off of your Crescendo? I have one also and was wondering if the cover comes off.
@TheSewingRoomChannel
4 жыл бұрын
Hi Carol. Yes the cover comes off. You can purchase an attachment that fits over the top of the machine to hold large spools of thread.
Question can you make a larger one for a letter size or even larger one ? How to did your get your dementions for this project ? Add a inch on each side for sewing ?! So could you make one but how much elastic would you need !? For teens and older peeps !? Mayne ty so much I love this ! I’d like to make a larger one for my 15 yr old !
@TheSewingRoomChannel

Hi Tonya. You don't need to change the size of the pencil case. Just cut the elastic longer to go over a larger notebook. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍

Could you use pinking shears to trim the two ends instead of using a zig zag stitch?
@TheSewingRoomChannel
4 жыл бұрын
Hi Bobbi. In my experience using pinking shears doesn't bind the edges you risk it unraveling during use. I recommend using a zig zag stitch.
@bobbidonley5158

The Sewing Room Channel Thank you for the advice. Will zig zag instead.
