Brilliant stuff. There's a type of southern mantis taught in the US called Chuka that also appears related to this (in more then name). Lovely to see.

Nice. Relaxed, smooth, focused and good root. Well done.

Like the chi gan fist the phoenix eye is a style that focuses on the pressure points and meridians. The chin na techniques and sticky hand manuvers serve to be vital in up close tactical defense , as well as it's explosive blows up close from the inside . Like in wing chun most attacks are forward driven and aimed with precise speed. Great stuff.

For your information, our style of ChuKa was not preserved in China and that is the reason why GM Cheong Cheng Leong is the only GM of this system. We can't find any similar system at other place.

I am the student of GM Cheong Cheng Leong. Our style of Chuka is not similar to the chuka, chow gar praying mantis and etc. Yes, this style uses phoenix's eye as the main weapon of the system.

Sifu was gasping after performing the first form of fist. Should rest and then stop the video cam. After resting, re-take.

Looks like what I'd call Yet Chia, Ngok Gar, Yuet Cha Chuen, or Ngok Kai Kuen. I could never get a definitive name in English. Supposedly originating from General Yue Fei.

Can you use standard Hany.u Pinyu? So that we can understand; otherwise, we find it very hard to guess your comments under so many videos

Haha. The interviewer is quick to notices that the kung fu master is much stronger than normal. Thats why some of them say you don't need much strength to take a bigger opponent but thats because they are strong.

Master cheong is not all that large. I studied with him for a couple of months back in 1977 or 78. He is in good health and is an excellent teacher. perhaps one day I will return for a few months before we get so old that it will be impossible to do this system.
