    @@Pinakamataas Missus! Stop! you rule! You ran a FULL half Marathon, not "half a marathon". A major achievement, beyond most people's (including me) ability or determination...Unless you dropped out half way through a full marathon, in which case you are just as awesome (literally, scientifically) as a half marathin runner but you didn't get the end of the line cheer and that's crap for you., I've eatched international elites do the very same thing when condtions were wrong. I wish half marathons had a better, cooler name cause it's a great distance. My husband is a runner and he's amazing at that distance (like he comes in top 20 in amateur half marathons) but it holds no prestige so he focuses on marathons. Limits him sooo much, cause I can't agree to his training every year as it creates such (increased) inequality in childcare so he only can do them every 2 years. Half marathon? no bother! He could do 3 a year and we wouldn't fret.

    My spouse, the contrarion. If I need something done, I must say the opposite of what it is. When that does not work, getting someone else to tell the same thing during the conversation like , when that happens to me, i..., and then its the exact thing I said but which was ignored, or did the opposite of, or argued about 3 hrs longer than after I quit , now that it's not my idea, that BFF told the solution, it's gold and gets done. So, yep, that's familiar on a personal level.

  • @rose-ui6hk

    @rose-ui6hk

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@baconfluffy no, reinforcement is rewarding a behavior (with the intent of making the behavior more common or likely in the future). so bowen's "that was good" is positive reinforcement: he's giving something desirable (a sort-of compliment) to reinforce a desirable behavior (using the bike). it could also be considered negative reinforcement since he's withholding an undesirable stimulus (insults) to reinforce a desirable behavior (again, using the bike). the "positive" and "negative" refer to whether you're adding or removing something, so there's positive and negative reinforcement and positive and negative punishment. an example of positive punishment would be at 1:01, where the instructor adds something undesirable (mockery) to decrease the likelihood of a behavior (not using the bike). 1:25 is an example of negative punishment, since they're removing something desirable (attention). sorry that was so wordy haha. TL;DR: *positive* = adding something. *negative* = removing or withholding something. *reinforcement* (i.e. a reward) is intended to increase the likelihood of a behavior. *punishment* is intended to decrease the likelihood of a behavior. *positive reinforcement:* adding something desirable *negative reinforcement:* removing something undesirable *positive punishment:* adding something undesirable *negative punishment:* removing something desirable
