I sometimes play pekka bridge spam deck, and i can say even sometimes not putting pekka down at all is better

Pekka is a life saver for mid ladder. Counters egiant, royal giant, ebarbs, Mega knight, and hog very well which are the most commonly overleveled cards

As a Pekka main, I completely agree. I think it should get a 1% damage buff so it one taps fishermen, royal hogs, and hunters, and 2 taps hog riders

Royal hogs being a two-tap has infuriated me only slightly more than the change that saw knights become a three-tap. I'm very sure that it already two-taps hog riders though, unless an incredibly recent balance change just dropped. I've been using her to counter the hog with no crown tower damage for years now

To be fair, the vast majority of players are in mid ladder and I’m a firm believer the game should be balanced around the majority of players, screw the top 5% if everyone else is not having fun, but I do agree that pekka isn’t busted and the megaknight users need to stfu

I think, if you are trapped in midladder, using Pekka (you'll need a good amount of spells) is a fantastic way to climb up. In a more competitive environment, yes it seriously struggles against fast cycles SPECIALLY ones with evolution (can't ohko barbs, gets wrecked by cracker and to a lesser extent skellies)

@@Kontollerjoe You are genuinely stupid if you think Pekka bridge spam is about making a big push in the back. The deck is all about forcing out elixir with cards that must be answered with immediately (for example the battle ram or the bandit). You have to try and get their elixir low so you can get tower damage with other cards. And in double elixir, you need to start making double lane pushes with those cards. The Pekka is only ever used on defence because it is so slow on offence. People are starting to use barbarians more in the deck than Pekka.

PEKKA is currently one of those ”mid ladder card” exept that instead of being a menace like wizard ,witch and MK she’s a brick wall that stands against it . PEKKA has always been a defense tank so it makes sens she struggles on offense but right now it evens struggle at this job so i would like to see a buff.

Pekka is strictly for defensive counterplay as far as I'm concerned. I'll whittle you away with the miner poison parade until you decide you need to send in your big guns, and my big gun hits harder. Playing a Pekka in the back is just a fantastic way to tell your opponent you have no elixir and nothing on the field for 5 seconds.

Pekka players play small spells so skeletons aren't a big problem if you have a decent cycle

@@MrLike0816 Do the math. Pekka + a 2 elixir spell = 9 elixir. If you play skeletons and they use a small spell, you still have 8 elixir left to get an even elixir trade.

@@gofglida4155 unless you have more swarms chances are your gonna have to put 5+ elixer in defending the Pekka after the skeletons and at that point it's closer to even. I could also counter skeletons with fire or ice spirit instead of the spell which makes the elixir different even less of a problem. For example a 2.6 player would need to use at the cheapest an ice golem, cannon ice spirit combo, leaving only one elixir difference.

Awfully it's one of the only cards that I have at 14 so I can't afford not to use it

@@daveba981 I have ~5800 but I never play ladder anymore, cuz I'm extremely underleveled with the decks that are actually good and fun to play, I used to play a no skill mk wbs deck w idrag, but that stopped working when players started to know what they were doing, so that doesn't work anymore so now I just play classic challenges, because then you can play whatever you want

The thing about pekka is that every time it hits something that isn't a skeleton or goblin, it's getting value. Midladder players tend to not carry swarms or not realize that a knight or valk is a really bad option for defending a pekka, sure it will stall for a while and do damage, but that's 2-3 elixir wasted compared to skeles which would do more damage anyway.

@@Moesie i have won games before but I don't usually participate in challenges much. My deck currently consists of Pekka, Wizard, Mega Knight, Electro Wizard, Phoenix, Knight, Arrows, and Electro Dragon. So it's not a meta deck. Before Phoenix it used fisherman.

Granted I'm sitting just shy of 7k trophies, but my Miner Pekka Poison deck, which I've been using for about 4-5 years, has been such a treat to play and grow with. I've learned that saving her for a defensive counter push is the best way to get value out of her. I'll have no problem going 7-4 against something like a hog because my support is flexible and well-rounded enough to threaten damage. As a side note, if inferno towers frustrate you, and you have a sense of when one will be played, dropping minions at the bridge and waiting around with the miner/poison for any princess/swarm (ideally with an e-wiz in tow) is a very satisfying way to break past the clamp that card would otherwise have on her.

@@icedo1013 My deck is basically that I have pekka and mega knight as win conditions. Phoenix is my air card, electro dragon and E wiz are to deal with infernos, wizard and arrows for swarms and knight as a mini tank. Before Phoenix I used fisherman to feal with tanks. i had actually reached Challenger 3 before when there was only 12 arenas using only that deck.

Like I said in Ian’s video, pekka needs a damage buff, for a card that does a lot of damage it doesn’t even one shot cards like fisherman and Hunter which kinda make the card useless, it takes years to walk up to the target and doesn’t even kill it, I think pekka should be able to one shot all cards that dies to lightening Exactly the same amount of hp as archer queen (if I’m not wrong that’s the card with most hp but dies to lightening) so pekka doesn’t deal way too much but still enough to kill many cards

The most HP that dies to Lightning is Phoenix, not Archer Queen. But PEKKA could not attack it anyways. So the next highest is Golemites.

They need to make Pekka completely unstoppable and immovable for it to be useful again. It's already REALLY slow and can be distracted really easily. Making it an unstoppable tank would give it a gimmick besides really slow but hits really hard.

As an active Pekka user, I have to agree, Pekka is terrible against most cards, as you need multiple support troops for one Pekka

I agree on it being a low tier card, but it probably is the best in mid ladder as it counter ebarbs and the meganut.

OK I LOVE the Pekka I have used since arena 6 and the longer you get in the game it gets worse and worse BUT if you get it on tower your dead.

Pekka can be good, but you need to know exactly what your opponent has as options to ever use it well

I have been saying Pekka needs a buff

Clan Wars 3: Most people find that clan wars is to out of the way and that card levels are unbalanced What if it was kind of like the old clan chest where your clan had to work together in battles to get a chest but this time it’s about the battles you play to push your boat to the end of the river or it could be your clans win rate that decides it to help clans that don’t have all 50 members You could pick the battles that you want to represent your clan too like you’ll get to pick 4 battles a day just on path of legends or trophy road and if you win you progress making it not out of the way

I'm thinking it should get a buff like a 5-15% more speed, or 30% more health, even maybe the best one splash which won't make sense though.

Pekka’s hit speed should go from 1.8 to 1.7 to help her reenter the meta without being too strong and we can rework her by trading off some dph for a faster hit speed while increasing her dps again if the first buff is not enough. Either way, pekka has just been indirectly nerfed one too many times by buffing swarm cards and by adding the mighty miner who still needs a… NERRRRF!!!

Basically the thing with pekka is that it can destroy your whole mega knight , prince , mini pekka push alone with a tiny assistance , so majorly mid ladder players don't understand that high ladder majorly use medium cycle decks or fast cycle decks , but the worst part is that it takes ages to get a whole deck to max level and till you do that , you have no choice but to use your dumbazz heavy elixer deck I was one of those guys who maxed out hog 2.6 later on and well the firecracker meta destroyed my whole career 💀 So i had no choice but to use my heavy deck , and even with that I have been barely winning with only my skills diffs So rn I'm just tryna max out another deck , especially that bomb tower firecracker one because that shiz is broken but that will take time as I decided to foolishly make all my cards level 12 back in da day

Pekka is a decent card, you just need splash cards behind her to really do some damage, if she connects, the enemy tower is most likely dead, she’s also a decent tank who can fight back, you just need to be good at getting her to connect.

I was an og pekka bridge spammer and I got to tell you that wasting a fireball to a evo firecracker just for them to put another down is just so raging and if your pekka is in the wrong place, that mf can chip damage if they protect and that is I went to almost at legendary area back to pancakes in 20 matches from evo firecracker

As a former pekka mk freeze user who used to bait opponents into thinking that i only have 1 tank card, i know the people who are complaining about pekka being strong, they're the mid ladder kids with 7.1 decks i used to scam and insta win easy with my bait deck

The only time I've ever worried about Pekka is when I fail to kite correctly, and it starts hitting my tower...

I mean as a pekka deck user. I just main the pekka and build things around it for counter pushes. Spells and ranged damage and a 2nd smaller tank and im all set. High ladder and trophy road each season regularly. I still have a blast

personally as a top 7500 players Pekka kinda do need a nerf the problem with Pekka is the really is no counter for surprise decks and mostly I just see people play Pekka like a mega knight when it should be played in the last minutes to catch your opponent off guard

Pekka is powerful once you combine it with a few spells and an Executioner. Give her a dart goblin to deal damage to the towers and a zap to deal with inferno and you got your self a strategy that has got me to master rank.

I mean as someone whos playing mega knight, pekkas a fairly balanced card. Just keep 2 swarms in your deck man its not that hard

...And that's why my true main deck, without MegaKnight as an replacement for P.E.K.K.A, contains the evolved Firecracker inside. But, she definitely is powerful if used correctly.

Easy solution for fisherman pulling away the pekka; simply play a bandit or other 3 elixer card behind RG and make sure the pekka is in front of it. Fisherman pulls the bandit instead, and pekka usually kills RG before the opponent can do something about it

my mortar cycle I've been using for 2 years suffers from pekka so much, I can't stand it

There is a thing called arrows log and zap to complete counter anything that can stop the pekka

It's probably from the people in midladder (pretty much everyone in the game) who go against overleveled pekka decks

Its either im very shit or I can barely beat a level 13 pekka with level 10 . Is that normal? Suddenly a bad card like the wizard comes level 12 and disintegrates my units while the pekka is there

Pekka is bad if you think if it as a win condition. But as a defensive card its great, and can lead to a strong counterpush as it will obliterate whatever tries to kill its support (like valkyries). It has its uses but yes it is unreliable even with support. Also combining it with executioner +cyclone will usually be enough to wipe out any defense not based on buildings

Pekka is my favorite card because it forces you to defend a massive counter push, but it isn't an auto win. I wish it was meta ;_;

As someone who plays Megaknight in mid ladder. I can confirm that the PEKKA is so flippin' annoying. Nothing I throw at it short of an inferno tower or evolved barbs will kill it. Then they always have Pekka Zap for the inferno tower.

A lone pekka is nothing.. It's just the magic archer, ghost, bandit, battle ram supporting him.. Makes the difference..

Honestly imo pekka bridge spam is good vs all of the ebolved cards and u have fireball to deal with evolved firecracker

Pekka evolution:Gains charge that ignores and kills enemies than can be killed by 50% of her damage and bashing the first enemy exceeding the HP of instan kill with her shoulder dealing half of her normal damage knocking everyone back in a fan shaped area....

Hot take: The problem with midladder cards is that the complainers always have rigged matchups with cards 3 levels above hence why people think wizard and witch are op, it is impossible to get a positive elixir trade when it is lvl 11 vs lvl 14 and cards sneak in a hit

pekka also is usefull against golem and e giant if you place it on the troops supporting the golem you can likely kill all the support, if you have a fisherman or building to distract it the pekka can also kill the golem

It's honestly mid, as it defends most mini tanks, and they need actual precise placements to defend it, or a swarm, which you can just zap. If they mess up the placement, my F2p Lvl 13 pekka will do 1100 damage. A third of the tower. But it needs a buff and a place in the meta, not just in Pekka Bridge Spam. I'm a 5k trophies who has played for 4 years.

Not to mention it is hard countered by a skeleton army early game to a card that is around a third the cost

Pekka doesn’t even feel menacing anymore. I see it played in the back, know I can play 10 elixir on the other lane, and defend it with 3-5 elixir when it comes around while my opponent is busy defending. At least a bad card like the zappy still scare me you know, cause I know I can mess up with the zappy.
