The manuscript was probably written in the first quarter of the 16th century. In addition to the legends of St. Elek and St. Paul the Hermit, it contains mixed prayers and hymns, including the St. Lazarus hymns, and the cantilena (folk song) of Ferenc Apáti and András Vásárhelyi.
