Peeling Another 40 Logs / LOG CABIN Building (S4 Ep15)
In the previous two videos I've been cutting down the sick spruce trees and I decided to use the smaller trees and the tops of the bigger trees as logs. I had to peel the bark before the logs would start rotting. Peeling approximately 40 logs was a long work. Now I have the logs ready for future projects, like the balcony and porch, outdoor kitchen,...
Thank you for watching!

You know, if 5 years ago someone said to me "Hey, you wanna watch a guy peal logs for 35 mins?" I would have said "Are you crazy? Hell no"? -- Yet here we are lol
Congratulations on the pending arrival of your baby! So exciting! I love watching how you teach your children to care for nature and the value of hard work! You are doing a great job!

Some people only pay attention to these kinds of details. The gossipy type. They can't see and then keep quiet.
The few moments you took time out to play on the log and have fun are the moments life is all about. Beautiful. Work hard and don’t forget to play.
Good job Nik 😁👍🏼 The seesawing was cool , we as adults need to always stay in touch with that inner Kid in us All and remember we can still have fun as we did as a child . It keeps us young at heart. 👏🏼😁

So very true! It takes life to love life!
Might have to use some of those logs to build a beautiful baby crib. The very best of Irish luck to you both. Another glorious video. Just pure bliss 😊
You somehow manage to make log peeling satisfying to watch. Now I want to build my own cabin...

Hey 😂
It is relaxing to watch you peal those logs. You make it look effortless.
Nik it is always mesmerizing to watch you doing that work, it is always immersive experience. Please never stop putting such art on the channel. Stay safe and enjoy the life.
Well, Congrats for baby news!!! Happy for you !!!=)
Hard work and some fun. It does not get any better. Looking good.
Whew, that was tedious and exhausting work. I had to nap at video end. 😉 All of your physical efforts aside, you also excel at camera positioning and editing. Watching the log placements for drying and storage was an interesting process. Including video of the wild flowers was artistic. Creating these video's is time consuming but also historical for your family and friends. 👍👍👍
Well, Nik, that was really a peeeeeeeeellllllling or appealing bloody excellent effort on peeling bark.😊
Thankyou, Nik Rijavec, man-beast.
Damn hard work, with a little justified 'Play-time'! Lovely to see Nik, thank you for taking so much of your time in the editing and uploading of the videos, great to watch!
NiK, if I was 30 years younger I'd come over for a summer and help you. My days of youth are gone now, I do know what a draw knife is and how to sharpen one with a stone.
"Alle Ihre Videos anzuschauen war eine wahre Freude! Bitte machen Sie weiter so, ich bin gespannt auf mehr. Viel Erfolg und herzliche Grüße!"🇩🇪
Nic, great to see you back again. 🐻🙏🇺🇸
I need a 10 hour loop of Nik peeling logs with soft music in the background. I would sleep to it every night.Just need to leave out the chainsaw in the looped version. I think I would wake up terrified. lol
The sound of the drawknife is meditation like music. Exhausting, but I think satisfying work! It's always good to see your videos!
Very long and good job !
Glad to see ya again Nik. Ye do alot of work peeling the logs.
You have the sweetest family...what a wonderful channel brother!!!
Awesome. This is my meditation! Making anything is art
Another elephant successfully devoured, one bite at a time! 🐘 I do love that you always find time to play a little bit 😁
I loved your imaginary friend teeter-toddering with you! ❤️🥰
Congratulazioni Nik!
Another video masterpiece. Every scene as beautifully crafted as the house itself.
So you guys are having a baby? Congratulations 🎊🎉🎈
Hey Nik, congrats for the new arrival! As a dad of 3 I know what it means 😁, may the Universe give you all the good health for years to come...
A cat who comes when you whistle but tries to stalk a chicken twice its size? Rare! How is impending daddyhood hitting you, Nik?
Very labor intensive! But also makes the logs beautiful. Does the bark pealed off make good kindling? Can't wait to see what you build with them.
Hey Nik and family, keep doing what you’re doing we enjoy watching y’all creating beautiful things! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🤩🤩🤩💯💯💯
Nice to see you guys take care.
Love the teeter totter and the super long peel at 31:38

What happened to the tree house?
Wow Nik you sir have patience I would have packed in after a few days and sent for the log peeler attachment for a chainsaw and done the rest with that or better still paid someone to do them for me. But as you’ve shown us many a time if you can stick to it you can do it yourself and have that sense of knowing that you have the ability to do it yourself. You are a better man than most people who have sat there and watched you peel all those logs. So please give yourself a pat on your back and a second one from me please and thank you for your video I love them and have watched every single one of them. 😊😊😊
Um abraço pra você e sua família um alô aqui do Brasil, curto muito seu trabalho.
Love the impromptu teeter totter, I totally would have done the same haha. Great work Nik

The scientific name is a seesaw, but teeter totter will suffice just this once.
Why is it therapeutic to watch someone working? Is it that you should be working that hard but watching is the next best thing? 😅
Ciao Nik, ho scoperto il tuo canale da poco e in due settimane ho visto tutti i video. Complimenti, sei un grande! Aspetto il tuo prossimo progetto!
Love it! You have got to be one of the hardest working guys I have ever seen! Don’t know how you do it! Hurts my back just watching you. :)
Bravo Fantje ❤ 🇸🇮
Perfect video for late friday relaxing, keep it up Nik!

Dad will be there on the 21st. I know he'd love to be in one of the videos

You do have then most beautiful spruce growing there too!!
Got to like those straight logs
Great job Nik blessings to you and your family can’t wait for next video
Keep up the great work and I bid you peace.
Peeling logs is like cutting lumber with a handsaw: just a job for someone who kills mother and father! ;-) Ceep up your amazing work! Greetings and best wishes for your family!
Good day sir, thanks for sharing this video. You have an amazing work ethic and terrific skills. Do you save the shavings and use them as fire kindling or are they composted for future gardening season? Wishing you and your family a blessed week filled with gentle seasonally appropriate weather. Peace brother
truly thrilling content, congratulations..
Wonderful work!
Congratulations on new baby.
Nik you make work enjoyable 🎉❤
Very peaceful
hello I have been following you since the first shovel to build your chalet and I love what you do I enjoy each time I watch your video and I often ask myself this question when I see the landscape that surrounds you "you are in which regions of the world?
Amei o vídeo..bom foi vê um momento de descontração co sua esposa top..Deus abençoe
When will you finish bathroom (Outside, Window, inside)? Hope we will see movies too
Bravo Nick!
I always admire what you did , such a great tallent and skill , great channel ❤
Your channel is my favorite of all my KZread channels. Love watching your home being built.
I remember doing this , but it was cedar posts .
Thanks for sharing! ✌
It is so much easier with a nice sharp draw knife and loose bark. The knife is sharp. I used a draw knife while peeling logs in Alaska for cabin building and general lumber. This brings back many memories.

This guy is living the dream. Hey Nik. If you ever wanted to use some of my music as background music just let me know.
Hi Nik, I am really curious to know what you are going to do with all the bark you removed
Nice job ...
Are you going to make a screened in porch ? Or maybe a elevated one off of the windows above ? I know you'll never be short of kindling what with all the peelings
What do you do with all of the shavings? Turn them into landscaping mulch, use for firewood kindling, or something else?
I usually get a kick out of the antics of your kids, This time it was the antics of you and the wife.

Nik e um trabalho de sincronia do homem e a madeira e a faca
Congratz Nick and wife, on the new little one coming, and whats up with all that long curly hair? it makes u look so old, and it would be a lot cooler in the warm weather if ur hair was shorter, cant wait to see U next time, congratz again my friend!!👏😁💖
miło Cię widzieć . pozd. z PL
Considering how many trees you took down perhaps another cabin for your friends to visit and an office? As the kids get older you might want more space so you can grow into it
Watching can’t be more relaxing. Beautiful!
Any plans to construct a large barn and/or workshop?
Draw knives are not tools, they are implements of torture. JMHO
Good lord! Do they not make a power tool to strip these logs? If not while you are working in your mind design one!
Nice thumbnail man haha
Hey man glad to see the videos again !! Do you save any of the feelings for fire 🔥 starters in the winter ?
