My favorite fact about their friendship is that Pedro was so nervous about seeming weird/creepy that at first he refused to text her directly and would contact her only through her mother which is just so wholesome

@@luist6417 The show mostly "stayed true to the game", but it's departed in many ways as well. Sometimes bad and sometimes good. But the game does pretty much everything better imo, and I say that considering only the acting/cutscenes and dialogue too. There were key things, even departures, done amazingly in the show however, that could not have been possible in the game. In the end, I'm just glad others have been introduced to TLOU and that I can be a fan of both.

I love how well they get along. It sucks when you read about two co-stars who hate each other in real life. These two clearly have a great bond off screen as well as on.
She's so adorable. My wife and I loved this actress ever since we saw her on Game of Thrones. She's going to be excellent in the role of Ellie! Looking forward to it each week. Pedro's an amazing actor too. Great cast!

A lot of people doubted the casting because she doesn't look like game Ellie, but after the first episode I'm sold. Her line delivery is so like game Ellie's and her acting generally was outstanding. Big fan of Pedro as Joel too

Agreed. Great characters on Last of Us and two of my favourites on GoT... Oberyn and Lyanna M, both had awesome scripts.
Proof that anyone can be friends and as long as both people are safe, and there’s obviously people around, and everyone’s good people. Then there’s absolutely no need to be questioning age, or gender. Because this is like an older brother with a younger sister and it’s just so darn cute.
I love his evil little laugh! Their friendship is beautiful.

Great how they get along so well really made Joel and Ellie's father and daughter relationship feel so much more stronger than in the game.
The first episode was absolutely terrific. Enjoyed every single moment and I never cried so instantly in my life.
