Hey… wanted to drop you a quick note. I just finished doing my first pebble stone floor in my small bathroom. I think I was successful! Wanted to tell you that in preparation for this job, I watched a BUNCH of videos, yours included. But of all the instruction and advice, your suggestion to constantly sweat the trowel with mineral spirits was huge. Honestly I am shocked no one else did. It made all the difference in the world, and my trowel glided smoothly over the surface, creating what I think will be a nice, smooth finish.

This is a good video and I realize it was done on a demo surface, but I need a bit more information on how to deal with the edges and how to prep the surface (I am putting over an existing stamped concrete patio). Also, thank you for not adding annoying music to the video.

Oh! I should have mentioned that the main reason my pebble stone pool deck needs repair is because I have four large golden retrievers who love to swim. Their toenails tear up the pebble as they jump in the water. Of course the Florida sun does its job also as it does with everything in south Florida.

I am looking to do this flooring in my laundry room. It is a screened porch that was closed in. There is a concrete floor that my wife absolutely hates. This product looks awesome and we saw it on a DIY show. It looks easy to install also. We tried your website, but it won't load for us. Can you tell us where we can purchase the items needed to do this install. Mainly the epoxy liquids to add to the stone? Thanks a bunch.

For 1-3mm stones, anywhere selling large bags of aquarium rocks will work. For large areas, you'll need to find a rock, gravel, sand supplier.

I need to repair the pebble stone around my pool! I have worded in construction all my life and I sure I can do it myself. I want to buy the materials! I realize the pebbles come in several colors. Where can I buy the stone and the epoxy? Matching the 20 year old existing pebble will be a bit difficult. However I believe a darkening agent added to the epoxy will make it look good enough if I get the stone at least similar. Thanks.

Enjoyed the video...& need help! I live in California and I'm looking to do a Pebble Garage Floor. Home Depot only has Pea Pebbles & the only thing I can find is this product - $3.48/bag .5 Cu Ft (Stones 3/8-1/2 inch) - but yours look much smaller I can't seem to find anything anywhere else and these Home Depot stones don't look as nice as yours. Can you tell me a site or a place in Southern CA that has these?

thank you for making such a detailed clear concise professional video. out of 100 videos on this subject yours is the only one worth watching. Thank you for not having any demonic gang banger music. so I don't think the question will be answered but I have quite a few walkways that need this treatment. Can it be applied over wood forms or does it have to be applied over concrete? what type of epoxy would I use for a pool?
@edsmelly
7 жыл бұрын
I'm not an expert but it's my understanding that a concrete substrate is preferable because when applied over wood the epoxy will eventually start to crack. This may or may not not be a big deal indoors but outdoors, where the floor is exposed to freezing water, it will degrade quickly and be a mess to replace.

Do you have to do a whole project at one time? I’ve this floor for 15 years but just sold that house and now I can’t find anyone around my area to do it. My hubby is a painter so he can do about anything. If we start the room do we need to make sure it’s done all at once?
