Column base pinned connection, no moment is transferred. Beam column joint moment connection largest moment is coming there so we use more section width.. but as the column is pinned connection there is no plan and vertical bracing I don't know why..

@@abi3491 Thanks for the response. Seems the stability of building is missing by making pinned base with no vertical bracing system and also the load path( you can simply check degree of static indeterminacy and no: of reactions for one frame, it will form a "mechanism") . So just asked Please correct me if I am wrong :-)

yep sure. cost is comparitively expensive for small projects , lets hope as the technology improves , steel structure will become ecnomical than concrete

Yes I have the same question... If we are using concrete we are wasting a lot of usable area due to the thickness of the brick. If we can use pillars for load bearing, then the thickness of the wall can be reduced just for the wiring and box. Ofcourse the should be strong, fire retardant and waterproof... Waiting for such a solution. A panel with foam filling inside will be enough?

Mainly depends on the project. we can never ensure a sqft rate for large structures. Requirements Design Cost calculation execution this is the hierarchy

Please dont copy the same design for other building also.. steel structures should have a proper structure design.. illenkil fail aakanulla chances kooduthalanu. PEB base il pinned connection aay design cheythirikunath kondanu 6 bolt il oru steel column nilkunath.. ath bottom shear and compression maatram aahnu edukunath.. moment edukillaa

My observation in addition to your comments. 1. Moreover they have not provided any sort of Bracing Bay Arrangement. 2.Rafter and Column Junction Connection is a blunder. 3. Orientation of Wind Column is not Proper. 4. Bottom Flange Brace for Column as well as Rafter is missing. Kindly get a experienced Structural Engineer for building a Steel Structure.

Helo, rate steel nu PEB Cheyumbo normally well economical design aahnenkil. Per sq. Feet 5 kg vare varam.. pinne PEB ku fabrication cost kooduthal aayirikm.. so per sqft. Steel 5 kg + 40 percent fabrication and erection cost.. it's a rough cost.
