A testament to Pearl's 75 year odyssey of drum quality and advancement, Pearl President Series Deluxe drums are a modern take on a favorite from yesterday. Culled from the very origins of The World's Largest Drum Company, President Deluxe Series revives the warm subtlety of our original tone wood for a traditionally full, controlled playing experience.
Like driving a classic car with a supercharged engine, President Series Deluxe plays like a vintage kit without the shortcomings of yesterday's fittings. Our original "Battleship" lug has been recast and each drum features adjustable tone mufflers, allowing sonic variety from subdued to bombastic. In addition, the elegant identity of Pearl's original script badge and classic bass drum logo augment the swirling flash of our new Ripple covered finishes.
The darkly unique tonality of President Series Deluxe drums has found a new home with an ever-expanding family of Pearl Drummers. President’s prime vintage style also comes with the option of added 24” and 26” bass drums (both with old school “Gullwing” spurs and shell-mounted cymbal holder,) as well as added floor tom and component toms.

I haven’t really put it through a bludgeoning gig yet but I think as long as you have your pedal spurs cranked in pretty well, it’ll be fine.

Real nice Shane. I have this kit in 22, 13, 14, 16 and love it...gotta say I'm a little jealous of that 20" kick.

@@NintenDub I do really like my 22 but the tight sound Shane is getting from his is really nice. Could be the mic, the room, heads or whatever. My 22 is very open sounding like a Bonham kick which is not a bad thing. Trying diff head combos and muffling currently.

@@kddrums85 are you recording your kick,or just playing. Cuz we as drummers always have to remember that the drums sound way different when someone else plays them, and we're on the other side. Enough so that I've sworn my toms sound like absolute shit and someone else played my kit and I was standing back like damnnnn. And it's a thing that I never ever ever hear ppl mention. Its like the only instrument like that. Maybe a piano, and acoustic guitar and a few others sound good from farther away from the instrument itself, but with an electric guitar, for instance, its gunna sound the same for the player, and the friend standing 2 feet to the side. Only way it'll sound different and maybe worse, is if your standing behind the amp

I wish pearl would stop releasing new finishes for the president series, ive got the ocean ripple finnish! Great sounding drums! Cant see the nicotine finish available anhwhere yet though!

It's a wonderful fat and sweet sound. Shane, I have a question. This kit has two shell materials that have the same appearance. It's lauan or phenolic. Which material is your kit made of?

How much does a kit like that cost?... I'm not a musician, just a curious music lover.
