It's not CRAZY... it's just an OPINION. If all people had the SAME TASTE in everything, it would be quite a boring world 🌍. You know, kinda like "HIGH SCHOOL" 🙃. Now, who wants to discuss cymbal preference? I may play a Pearl set but I DON'T own Paiste cymbals.... yeah, EVERYONE knows which brand TRULY RULE. 🎼🎶🥁. Why even give Ziljian MORE free (and unnecessary) advertising. Can't we all just "play nice" together boys? ☮️🌎☯️🎸🎹

@@MrSpitlip Dave K, Dave A, Irons, Cameron, all with a lot of technical qualities. clearly some members of the band have toned down the live performance, Ed and Matt are the most out of tune. I would like to see the same power in some presentation to feel that there is still a sleeping beast there. Ed's voice changed a lot from the 1998 tour to the 2003 tour. I imagine that intentionally. No surprise. Matt Cameron ruined Pearl Jam. With Krusen they got famous, with Abbruzzese they became legends. And with Matt Cameron on drums, they sound live like an average Pearl Jam coverband. Remember how amazing they sounded with Dave Abbruzzese on drums in their best era from '91 to '94. He perfected the Krusen songs and put the whole band on a next level. A level they never even came close again after he had to left the band.

not to take away any ounce of greatness from DK, but if you’ve heard the demos for what would become Ten, the drum tracks were done by Matt Cameron. Once, Evenflow. and Alive i think, or Why Go… it was almost identical to the record. DK played Matt’s blueprint. add: the groove, bass patterns are all over Ten. yes, demo tracks by Matt Matt’s evolved now, Daves K & B fit better musically, imho

Underrated....and unknown. He should be known. It is a groove that is different. If he had stayed in, Modern Drummer would of had articles, he would have signature sticks, and every drummer of my generation would know his name. He would be known, because it was rock, with with his unique and original groove.I say that as a drummer of 30 plus years. Their other drummers were good, for sure; but expected. Krusen was a one of a kind.
I was 23 when Ten came out. Found the drumming tasteful and perfect. Dave really held the band up with his feel, and swing. I liked his playing because I could play drums like that. Through Dave A is an incredible player, I didn’t like his cymbal overload, his style got on my nerves. Loved Jack in the band, having seen him in RHCP for the Uplift tour. Matt changed the complexion of the band, for good or bad. I like his playing, not so much on the old songs. Back to why I’m writing, this is a beautiful experience seeing Dave K up there, laying down the path for the band to play and breath over. Just beautiful.
Wow...there's the Ten feel right there. Brilliant!
My god, those drums sound like heaven.
Now please bring Abbruzzese for one show VS+Vitalogy... ( and some Ten of course )... Fans would be in trance
Really nice to hear these with a slower tempo. It really let's the music breathe.

And while I LOVE In My Tree and many other Irons' tracks, and absolutely worship Cameron (albeit more for his flawless work with Soundgarden), I think Krusen had a musicality and ease with his parts that fit PJ perfectly. What i love about this band is how much they did to create events that are meaningful for fans. Bringing Dave Krusen for a full Ten live show, like it actually never really happened ? Amazing... the mother love bones revival, the temple of the dogs concerts, the constant tracklist changes with tons of deep cuts and bsides... This band was, is and always will be the reason Grunge lasted so long. Passion, love, and fan care.
Mike Mccready alone is worth the price of admission.

Dave K has a very fluid play on drums and it’s changing the sound’s dynamic and the energy of each track… great job 😮
I feel grateful for this but can't help feeling that it's such a shame this wasn't recorded professionally. PJ is one of the greatest bands and this is the only chance to hear their historic first album played live by the original line-up. Krusen really adds so much to the feeling. Every part and passage of his is so carefully thought out and laid back at the same time. Abbruzzeze used to overplay most of his parts and Cameron is better at odd time signatures than keeping a 4/4 groove.

I agree with every single point you mentioned. It's scary how well Krusen sits in the band's mix after all these years. As powerful and creative as DA was, he did tend to get too entertained with his cymbals and play everything at 11. It would be interesting to hear one more record with Krusen.

I mean, they will of course have the bootleg series recording of this, which I think is perfectly fine. Between this multi cam boot and that audio, there's nothing more they really could have done. This was haphazardly put together at the last minute so we should just be thankful this multi cam exists and they already do their bootleg series. They couldn't get a full film crew and professional audio at the last minute so we basically have as good as we could realistically hope for. If they didn't record every show already for the bootleg series I would say yes, this needed to be recorded, but we already know it is in that format.

This is Pearl Jam as it should have been!
A cynic would argue otherwise but this gesture says a lot about the spirit of these musicians. It’s very sweet. Dave K is playing those songs with no fuss, maybe allowing the others who’ve been playing those songs almost straight down the pipe for 30 years with some kind of reconnection to less successful times. Maybe not. Who knows, but I love them 😍
Krusen playing with the band is so great, he was there when the band made the best work they’ve ever done, really makes it Pearl Jam, because right now it’s just temple of the dog without Chris
Why go is such a badass song! 🤘🏻
While it's great to hear Krusen with the band again, and I agree he has amazing groove and feel, folks need to stop with the subtle bashing of Matt Cameron. 1) He is one of the most technically gifted rock drummers in the world...not jazz, not funk, not reggae...ROCK drummers, 2) Most of you know that if it wasn't for Matt Cameron, we probably wouldn't have any PJ albums past Yield, 3) He is a gifted song writer and has had a huge influence, if not outright written, on some of their best songs in the past 23 years. I think the problem is, we have so much more music with which to judge Matt than any of the others. He should probably get more credit for the good songs, and less for the bad (yes, PJ has some bad songs). That being said, if I'm being honest, Matt is still a close second to Jack Irons...No Code isn't No Code without Jack's unique playing. And without No Code, PJ is not as good.
I love how Deep all falls apart at the end😂 Mike looks like he’s having a ball and haven’t seen him have that much fun in a while
