LOVED Admiral Harris' speech! Watch starting at 47:20 as a Pearl Harbor vet in the center of the screen struggles to stand and applaud. Took him three tries, but he got up. Those men are amazing.
33:44 - I loved the "cut" prompt!
Admiral Harris' manner and speech reminds me of GW Bush.
The Admiral's tone reminds me of my father who served 39 years in the USAF as a fighter pilot and senior colonel. Grateful for leaders like this who don't walk the politically correct tightrope!
I played taps for the Navy, by far the classiest branch of the military. Fantastic Ceremony!
I was in the 1st grade and remember Dec 7th very well. We were in Montgomery AL and listened to the radio all day sitting on the floor in front of our radio with a big round dial with all the stations, both long and short wave, I didn't have to be told to sit still or shut up as I was glued to the radio and what it was telling us. Before that day there was no such thing as a news program back in those days. Then there were news programs and ikewise at movie theaters they had a news report with film of what was progressing in the war, both the Pacific an later the Atlantic frots before the feature movie was shown. Hollywood started making battleship, submarine, PT boats and carriers.
In prayful remembrance: "I testify, O my Lord, that Thou hast enjoined upon men to honor theirguest, and he that hath ascended unto Thee hath verily reached Thee and attained Thy Presence. Deal with him then according to Thy grace and bounty!.." - Baha'u'llah, Baha'i Prayer
Whoever dislike this video is ungrateful

Muita paz no coração de todos por esse momento de verdade e vida de todos os americanos e japoneses.
They may have had different uniforms They may have different thoughts about Pearl harbor Day but they are definitely the reason why we call brotherhood for sure. It wasn't all man for itself It was everyone helps out one another. I know there are very few Pearl harbor survivors left but I truly believe we must give them something now that they won't get in the next 5 years. To all the survivors thank you so much for never giving up on Lady Liberty. You guys were so young and ladies too We will never forget you and what you've done for our beautiful country God bless each and everyone of you
Go ADM. Harry B, Harris Jr. !!!!!!
God Bless the U.S. Navy, and all of America's proud defenders of freedom and justice !
Muito bonita a ßerimonia de confraternização.
Thank you all Veterans of America & of Japan! May we never forget! May we have Peace. May we all stand United all across the The Land that God made for USAll!
This is what made America, America. Please people unite and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.
did Gadsden city high school play?
Americanos liberdade e construção subjetiva e gregário para toda sociedade q vive a verdade de uma guerra e luta com o coração aberto para defender sua nação que a paz faça da América um país vivo para produzir e construir a liberdade entre as nações.
Good for Admiral Harris.
Shame on Admiral Harris for tarnishing the memory of the men who fought and died at Pearl Harbor by criticizing those who take advantage of the freedom they died for. They served (as did I) to protect American liberty, not to shame people for exercising it.

He too has a right to his freedom of expression. If kneelers feel ashamed, that's on them.

Actually, under the UCMJ his speech is constrained and I think taking time away from the intent of the speech to take a shot at someone expressing peaceful protest could easily be construed as Conduct Unbrcoming an Officer. Just my two cents.

He was simply acknowledging those who were extraordinary... he didn't call out CK.... Simply stated the truth. He was supporting those who courageously and boldly fought -- because they were disrespected by ignorant citizens....
