The phenomenal man who made such a legendary franchise possible. We miss you, Schulz. Thanks for bringing the world of Peanuts to life.

When I go into a Disney Store, I don't buy anything. When I go into a Peanuts Shop, I always buy something. I did not realize this about myself until a few years ago. Then I remembered that I named my cat Charlie when I was 6 years old. I had a Peanuts lunch box, pencil case, and several other things.

Even though Charles "Sparky" Schulz has been gone for a while, his legacy which many as well as I have loved and still do will live on forever

And to think he DID take Peanuts with him. It just so happened that on the day of Sparky’s death in February 2000, the final Sunday Edition of Peanuts was published and released in newspapers worldwide the very next day.

@@ElanaVital83 Disney DOES NOT own Peanuts. Since 2010 rights to Peanuts is owned by Peanuts Worldwide LLC., which is majority owned by WildBrain Ltd, with minority shares held by Sony Music Japan and the family of Charles M. Schulz. Per the agreement made by Schulz and his original syndicate, after the ending of the comic strip no one will ever produce new Peanuts comics strips. New tv shows, graphic novels and movies have been produced since 2000 and those were never considered part of the comic strip cannon even though many of the projects have been based upon existing comics. The family of Charles Schulz have been know be very careful and choosy about new Peanuts projects.

@@DDELE7 All the specials and shows are on Disney plus now. But yeah, the comic strip is not theirs. I guess Schulz didn't really care about the shows

@@ElanaVital83 I think you have it confused with Apple TV +. They now have exclusive rights to the Peanuts TV specials and I think they are producing a new program called The Snoopy Show. Apple and Disney are not the same company. Ironically however the family of the late Steve Jobs is the majority shareholders of Disney (through the sale of Pixar, which he cofounded). So maybe Disney has an indirect role in Peanuts lol.

Man, do I understand how he felt about his character creations! I draw comics with my continuing characters, but it's only for my Bible study class. like 15 or so. But I wouldn't want anybody else ever messing with them, who all have some of myself in them.

We are so happy he never borrowed any idea from any other people! it would have spoilt the originality of Peanuts. His genius was more than enough. we love you mr schulz ❤ thank you for such a wonderful gift to the world
