PD Art Director Lawrence goes HAM on CAM(era cubes). He does a pretty good job in this video, but sometimes it seems like he's trying a little too hard to hit those signature 1-liners...
Maybe it's because PD Marketing Director Adam did the previous instructional video (on Packing Tools: • Peak Design Travel Pac... ) and he really raised the bar.

This is fantastic and the quality of the video and the way it is presented is so much better than before. The camera angles, zoom ins and illustrations are very helpful. Thank you!

Good to hear there are gonna be other bags in the Travel line for the future (Suitcase with wheels maybe ?) I just got an Everyday backpack for a nice carry-on bag. Just backed a Tech pouch to go inside my new bag. Would love to see a good accompanying piece such as a suit case or maybe a sturdy duffel bag.

Very informative video. Learned a lot more than the first video about the photo cubes. I notice that all of your camera gear examples are full frame. I use a full Fujifilm APS-C kit for which the dividers don't quite work out --- I usually have to use more dividers than what comes with the standard bags and/or use individual lens padded lens pouches from other brands in order to stack gear between Peak Design dividers. Looks like I might still be doing that with the new cubes; but, I suspect not as much as I had with the Peak Design backpacks and messenger bags. How does the capacity of the small camera cube compare to the capacity of the Peak Design Sling 10L? Would a Sling 10L fit in the travel backpack in place of a small cube? I've seen in earlier videos the Sling 5L would fit nicely.

I just got the travel bag, and medium camera cube, and a few of the other accessories, and I have to say the quality is great, and there are so many well designed aspects of everything. But I noticed a pretty obvious flaw (to me anyway) as I was putting my camera gear in my bag and setting everything up.....I noticed that because the main compartment is accessed from the "back", in order to access anything in the thinner front compartment with the little zipper pouches etc. you have to close up the camera cube and everything, and flip the bag over to get to the front pouches, otherwise everything in the main compartment with the camera cube will fall over. What I think would be a better design is if some of those little zipper pouches and compartments were on the flap INSIDE the main compartment (where the laptop sleeve is), so that while you've got the bag open going through your camera gear, you can just access a few little pouches for little things like filters, lens wipes, screw drivers, memory cards, or whatever else. I'm guessing this wasn't done because of the tech pouch, but I honestly feel like I'll get tired of opening and closing the tech pouch everytime I wanna grab some little thing. It'd be nice if it was right there on the interior wall of the bag. I also wish there was some little magnet on top of the camera cube flap that could snap onto the interior wall of the bag so the flap isn't flopping around. Or maybe even better, a little sleeve that the camera cube's top flap could slide into, kind of how the shoulder straps tuck away into their little sleeves. And my last criticism would be that the little clips you use to attach the camera cube inside the bag are way too tricky to use quickly. They're good once they're attached but there's gotta be an easier way to attach the cube in there quicker...Like snap, snap, snap. It took me like 2 minutes to do because everything is so tight. I'd like to be able to do that in like 10 seconds.

I also REALLY wish the top flap of the camera cube had a couple zipper pockets. There's so much potential to do something on that top flap, it's just blank right now. It would be perfect for little camera accessories that you don't want to have loose amongst your dividers. Again, I think you guys are thinking that's what the tech pouch is for. But when someone is out in the field shooting, they want to access things as quick as possible. I wanna be able to open my bag/camera cube and grab everything ASAP. I don't wanna have to open another pouch within my bag just to get a battery or SD card or something. I would even be happy with more of those floating pockets. I would buy a couple more of those if they were for sale.

Perhaps the medium cam cube could have the side access zipper go the other way? That way you could wedge the side flap behind the cube without needing to hold open that additional flap inside. when the side body access from outside is required. Just something that came to be when watching the vid.

I have 20L every day backpack and love being able to change the dividers on the go, like if I want to change my 70-300 with a tiny wide angle prime lens on the camera. Do the dividers of the everyday backpack fit inside a small camera cube ?

Not having one divider long enough for the entire length of the large packing cube seems like a missed opportunity. For someone like me who'd like to mount my gear vertically, I'll have to use two long dividers and have less options at the end of the day.

guys, i really might be your biggest fan. i already own so many of your products (5L, slide lite, capture, field pouch, clutch, cuff, etc.) and immediately backed the "whole enchilada" for your travel line. i've spent so many hours rewatching your hangouts (often at 2am) that i feel like i'm part of the PD team :) keep doing amazing things / inspiring everyday creatives like myself!

So - add an L Bracket to that D800 with battery grip, a slide and a Clutch - then put it in the cube - I use the D850 not the D800, but with the previous setup and my challenge is finding a bag that will easily allow me to put the camera in and get it out with all that added to it. I have backed this project and am hoping that it will work :-) Love Peak Design Products!!!

Bad thing about this system is that u dont have a 1&half cube size for the camera cube. Should create a single cube and allow for zipper extension like the bag. Sometimes 1 cube size may be too small and the medium might be too big

Interesting suggestion Justin, Brooks from the store uses a medium camera cube all the time attached to a Slide Strap, he carries a tech pouch with film inside it within the medium cube, the Camera Cubes aren't just for cameras.

Looks like a great concept. The only thing that worries me is the zip on the back. Considering the main harness is attached to the flap not the pack body it must load the zip more. I would like to just have access from the from the front with some anti theft devices and have a fully sewn back no zip. If the back zip fails one would be up the creek so to speak. I know you use good zippers but considering the value of the gear being carried just too big a risk. Also some optional full length dividers, and possibly other dividers as spares. Anyway a great concept, but I think needs a fully sewn back for reliability for people in places where a replacement pack is not an option.

Could you not introduce a c-clip to attach the side wall of the camera cube to the side wall of the bag, so that when you open it from it’s side zip, it’s attached, and not flapping around?
