This is called Peacock. You can make it larger or smaller if needed. I try not to overlap any stitches and try to stay about 1/8 in away from previously quilted areas. It's a great filler. #quiltcoachchick Like! Subscribe! Share! Thank you for watching!

It's amazing how fast you go and so smoothly.

I love the fact that you just record it-watching this over and over as you move helps ingrain the movements. I can do this!

What a beautiful filler---I do these but have never left them "unconnected". Am so anxious to try this. Thank you.

Is this video speeded up? I can't sew that fast without getting eyelashes on the back. Just wondering. I love the pattern. I'm going to try it. Thanks for sharing.

This looks so nice as a filler, and I like the way that you finish your peacock. Are you stitching in constant mode?

Hey Ms. Good--I see that you are quilting an edge in the video. Gonna ask a really dumb question about where quilts get quilted first. Back in the ice age when I tried to teach myself to quilt, all the books and articles (there was no such thing as You Tube then, only the library...ha ha) said you needed to start at the center of the quilt and work your way outward to reduce any chance of the quilt top 'bunching up' on you. May I assume one doesn't need to follow that dogma with a longarm machine and you can start anywhere??? Have I just shown my age???

That's probably still true if you are quilting on a domestic machine. But yes, different for Longarm😊

I've been longarm quilting for over 10 yrs. I've only done free motion, no computer. Just lots of practice!! Thank you!

I am confused by quilting terms. I thought this was considered hand-guided quilting when done on the long arm and FMQ only when it is done on a sit-down sewing machine?

I've always used both or either term.
