I really enjoyed this review of the Peachtree Nova 150. I think you articulated very well what a person could expect if purchasing this item. It has been on my list ever since I saw John Darko do a review several years back

Thanks for the review, I have the Magnepans LRS, still in its box awaiting the Peachtree Nova150 in transit from the US. It sounds it could be a good match. To be honest I was taking a punt buying the Peachtree as I have not heard them together. Thanks from New Zealand.

Most welcome. Yes, the Peachtree Nova 150 is great match for the Maggies. The built-in DAC sounds awesome as well if you listen to digital. Happy listening!

Very nice review and music selection. Can an iPod classic work using the USB connector?

Hi Sir, again, I am very much enjoying your reviews! Thanks for sharing the insights of this amp. Btw, alot been saying that this is very similar to Quad Vena II Play integrated amp. I am hopeful if you will review this one day as I am currently looking to get one of this network streaming amp which also have phono inputs. Thank you Sir.

@Analogholic Thank you so much for your reply Sir, much appreciated. My current setup is TT (Nagaoka MP110) connected to Schiit mani to my 22w mini integrated amp (with streaming). I am using Q Acoustics 3020i. I am thinking to gradually upgrade all but starting with the upgrade of the amp to either Rega Brio, IO, or Quad Vena II Play. However, I have the following dilemma: 1. Continue to use the schiit mani for the Line input of Vena II Play 2. Use the built in phono input of Vena II Play 3. Get the Rega Brio or IO and connect to its phono input and get a streaming device. I know the Nova 150 is definitely way beyond this output power range but I am ok to upgrade to this too. My listening preference is 80% LP and 20% others. Thank you for your advice in advance.

@@darylchng9243 most welcome, sir! BTW you have some excellent speakers. So, if you are listening to vinyl-digital 80-20, I'd highly recommend the Rega Brio/ElexR because their built in phono is amazing value. Get an affordable dac and stream via chromecast or something like the bluesound node streamer. Alternatively, get an audiolab 6000 play or integrated and get an outboard phono like the iFi zen phono or cambridge audio or musical surrounding phonomena and enjoy the tunes!

I tried the nova 300. A nice amp, but I found it incredibly bass heavy. Great for rap music, but sometimes too much of a good thing. Good product, and one I'd be more than happy to live with long term, but when compared to others it's not my first choice. I ended up with a marantz model 30. Much more expensive, but a significant improvement in sound quality.

Would nova 150 go well with Focal Aria 906 book shelf speaker?

Hi there, I haven’t listened to the Aria 906. If they are laid back, then the Nova would suit them well. But if the Aria sounds thin and edgy on top, then probably not a good match.

What phono stage are you using ?
