Last night during my mom’s end of life I played constant hymns. The last was all Elvis Presley singing. This song was playing when she took her last breath. Momma is finally pain free. Enjoy the peace in the valley, momma.

Elvis' music speaks for itself. His amazing talent is undebateabl! 3 Grammys for his gospel music. Peace in the Valley touches the soul of most people and I am so grateful to be able to listen over and over because it lifts me up. The first line when he sings the word tired in that southern drawl is perfect for this song. Been loving Elvis since 1962 age 12 when I got my first Elvis 45rpm..Can't help falling in Love...and I still love you Elvis.

My dad was a big time Elvis fan I miss him so much he was battling stage 4 lung cancer he also had kidney failure n was diabetic the strongest man I know what hurts even more he loved singing and Elvis was his fav not only that he was a Vietnam veteran I'm just grateful to have him in my life I know he's in a better place . I just found out that Elvis sang this on The Ed Sullivan show in 1956, to raise awareness of the plight of refugees of the Hungarian revolution. He requested donations to go toward evacuation efforts. Thank you Elvis! I was one of those refugees (2 yrs old) who arrived in the US (Kamp Kilmer) along with my parents. Still so grateful to be in the USA!

Very powerful song - Once I watched a man brokedown in a bar over this song and gave his heart to the Lord - We thought he was drunk - days later we realized it was real

my little brother was 17 he became very ill. the doctors kept saying it was sinusitis. he listened to this repeatedly. and I'll never forget he looked at me I was 21 and said I feel like I'm dying. we took him to the hospital again. finally the X-ray tech caught what was wrong. but we were to late. he died a couple months later. and that song will always remind me of him. He had wegnars granularmatosis. something not found in kid's. I'll always hate myself for not doing more. I feel I let him down. rip little brother, I love you!

Just had my Uncles funeral today. They played this song. A spiritual soul soothing song of comfort to us all. A prime example , of the power of music.

Gospel according to Elvis, how awesome is that, thanks for sharing.

My dearly beloved mother passed when I was 19 years old. Her lifetime idol and hero was Elvis. So now his music calms me and I feel her near me. I love you mom. Miss you every day and I will always sherish that you were my mother for 19 years. Also rip Elvis. Now I need to cry a little. Peace

This was played at my papaws funeral i never really listened to Elvis but every time i hear this song now i will always think of him

8/23/20: At 0009hours I am comforted by these lyrics as I am jolted into the realization that when I return home, there is NO Mommy...to call 😢😢. The joy that comes though, is that she's no longer suffering....Praise God Almighty. I have to rely on The Holy Spirit to strengthen me and remind me that I'm NEVER....alone🙏🙏.

My mom requested this played at her funeral. She took her life in 2017. She was terminally ill and suffering. And I know she has peace now . There wasn’t one person not crying. It was sad and happy tears. Sad that she had to leave this world the way she did but oh so happy knowing she was finally not hurting and at peace.

My Grandma just died August 8th and Elvis's gospel music is the only thing that brings me much relief from my grief. Help Me is probably my favorite song. By all accounts of Elvis's life by those he left behind he mad have had his problems but he never doubted the Lord and he never claimed to be a saint.

Elvis will always be number 1 in my book AMEN and AMEN

This man sang with his soul. I cry every time I listen to him. I feel for him, when I think he was alone when died 😭 But GOD was there, surely 🙌🏻

Elvis actually loved gospel songs more than other music. They gave him peace and upliftment he said. That made him strong for all his other commitments. He always did a fine job in his concerts! Love him till the world ends.

I'm an Elvis fan, and this song is very special to me. On the day that my father passed away this was the song that we gave him, it does remind that there are no sorrows or pain in heaven, and there is a sense of Joy. For anyone who is sad or maybe don't know where to go in life I pray that these words from Elvis give you Peace and Joy in your heart. God bless.
