someday someone could make a video about why the dark aesthetic is so calming, i would say its the feeling of awe like a cathedral, music like this invokes the sacred even if the aesthetic is dark, the occult, the sublime.

Yeah, there's this calmness, stillness about the night -- TOTALLY DEVOID of the proverbial "hustle and bustle" of the day. There's FAR MORE introspection that occurs during the dark, night hours -- as if though it's calling you out to do so. 😉

For me it feels more natural than the noises/sounds of the waking world. These types of atmospheric sounds puts me into a state of calm/state of origin of being.
