Yes, As she mentioned take the things which make sense no matter who says. The rights of the widows is such a great thought in his era even to this day have seen unmarried or a widow not being allowed to participate in functions. The irony is these are well-educated people in the name god and blind belief continues. He asked not to have kids because of fury, as he couldn't see kids going through the pain of being a girl or woman. Most of the time good leader and poets addresses their content to kids and youngsters as they are the future of a country if they are on the right path the world will be on the right path. In Movie Kamarajar, Periyar says his work has brought a change in politics when the candidate was a person who was empowered with education. A leader is someone who addresses the problem by being compassionate to the person. When we get into the depth of a book it's said we become that character. That's the power of an artist. To be empathetic being an artist is important that's where one will be having various perspectives. Everyone has good and bad qualities. But what we feed the most is what we become. Even the purest form of gold can't be used. So take in what makes sense from any book. Good review guys thanks for bringing this rare segment!

You have summed up the book really well with all the appropriate portions of Feminism as mentioned by Periyar. Keep up it, Anandhi!!! Enjoyed it from your point of view as well. 😍 Recently.. I finished this book and honestly, it was an awakening for me. Every woman should read this book. 🙏 While his ideologies are really far fetched and calls for many reality checks, what I found absurd and unbelievable was, his idea of not limiting ourselves in an one-to-one relationship in the name of love. I could see many people in the comments section siding with Periyar to that ideology but is it really feasible? I mean without lying to one's partner, without committing adultery, without being disloyal.. Can this happen within a relationship in a straight forward approach? Unless and until one does that, I can't agree to Periyar's idea of having more than one partner. In this era, atleast people should come forward to break up their relationship before indulging with an another lover. That's the basic respect one should offer in a relationship, by default. This thought is actually scary and am worried that people may take this ideology to their heart and commit adultery casually which is the last thing the majority of men/women would want!!!
