You know, they still didn’t explain how strong Shadow truly is. Super Shadow’s literally faced gods threatening the universe. In fact, base Shadow scales above Emerl, who destroyed multiple stars at once.

I wish Death Battle would stop saying "Super forms cant last without riiiijngggss!" thats a non-canon gameplay balancer, Super forms can STAY FOR WEEKS at a time! If not, forever.

I would only really say that for Sonic himself as Shadow has been shown to simply run out of energy. Granted it was his first time and he popped off his inhibitor rings, but still Shadow can't last in that form for as long as Sonic

it's... explicitly confirmed in the actual games that super forms are brief. the one time sonic extended his super form it was offscreen and everyone just presumes he was super the whole time, even though he's shown to have to have to recollect the emeralds to use them in succession or for long periods.

I bet the people thought how could they make shadow scarier than sonic. Give him a Glock.

DeathBattle research isnt bad (for the most part). But they do lowball some characters like shadow to make it seem more fair and to bring in more of their casual audience. Plus, if they did use shadow at his peak, this would be a bigger stomp than it is now lol

That the thing they said vegeta could survive super shadow,(dbz vegeta) would never defeat him in his super form,he only defeated shadow because shadow run out of rings and turned back to base form

To be fair, Shadow vs Vegeta was in season 1, which was faaaar before they ever did any actual calculations. Information changes as more information comes out

"They said Vegeta won first!" First, it's Dragon Ball. Of course Vegeta wins, even with how powerful Shadow is. Second, that was TEN YEARS AGO. You think maybe their research has improved a bit in that time? Actually. We know it has. Season 1 had very little budget and only a single person working on it, forced to do all research, create the fight, and put the video together BY HIMSELF in less than TWO WEEKS. Now, each episode has anywhere from 25-45 people working on it and is given a couple months in the oven (since different teams are assigned to different ones the same time). Also, they obviously aren't concerned about what franchise does or doesn't win more often. DC had a losing streak for over 1400 DAYS, then promptly won seven episodes in a row. It's all about the matchup, nothing else. It's just a puzzle to these people; even when they get an answer wrong, there's clearly no bias.

Vegeta does not beat shadow. If you go back to that video they gave Vegeta the win because they said he would outlast shadows super form before it ran out. But the thing is sonic characters don't need rings for their super forms. It's literally a game mechanic.

@@SuzukiT Yeah, and at the time that battle took places, Shadow was at LEAST Universal plus+ due to Solaris, and Vegeta was like Galaxy to MAYBE HIGHBALLED Universal, so Shadow should have won pretty handily. Also yeah rings are game mechanic stuff but death battle refuses to accept this its so annoying.

@@Tycitron6000 I'm pretty sure I heard a thing about how the writer for early episodes of Death Battle was incredibly biased against Sonic characters (Shadow in particular) which is why he also lost to Mewtwo even though... you know... the whole Solaris thing and the fact that he can resist mind control anyways?

I'm super late on this, but all the stuff about her being 17.... That's actually legal depending on the Japanese prefecture (and even in some US states). If there's anything with anime, simply assume that 16+ is legal in their eyes cause it usually will be.

Ryuoko was moving at speeds measured in sound, Shadow was measured with light and the reason Vega is so strong is because even the weakest characters are stupid powerful. Master Roshi could destroy the moon so anyone after that is basicly a planet buster.

It would be really cool if you guys reacted to Kill La Kill on this channel.

The power of all 7 chaos emeralds is not 100% given to shadow ain't no way. If that was the case black doom that lizard thing and any eggman mechanism sonic faces in super mode would die in 1 hit period. If all 7 can universal pull the earth back together in seconds and shadow has that power which is similar to sonic it wouldn't take 8 hits to beat eggman in sonic 3

Well, in the case of Sonic vs Eggman: I can accept the fact that Sonic is a hero who doesn't kill so he wouldn't want to accidentally vaporize Eggman or nuke the planet so he holds back (same applies for the Biolizard, the thing was attached to the space station where all their teammates were, not a good idea to accidentally nuke it. And Black Doom was fought in the sky just over the city, not even in space, chances are just the debris from the sky did some damage so going all out wasn't an option since he wanted to save humanity at that point so nuking the city was a concern XD). The only being that most likely forced the heroes to not hold back was Solaris who was a litteral god.

It's a videogame. A game has to have gameplay. There's a gigantic difference between lore and gameplay in videogames. It's like saying Doomslayer scales down to a character like Masterchief just because he uses guns in-game and you can die to fodder enemies if you play badly.

Bruh if you think that was one-sided just watch Ben 10 vs Green Lanter. That one was absolute total bullshit

Most people played Sonic forces I even liked that game

Death Battle has said themselves the reasoning and analysis for some of the older ones is different on how they do things now. Still, come on, it's Dragon Ball. I don't even like the series and I still think Vegeta wins.

Y'know she might be 17 but you know what else she is a made-up character that exists as lines on a piece of paper so I don't think it really matters

Well being frank, Vegeta does stomp Shadow even before Super. Remember final flash? That move is able to destroy a planet from far away with ease in mere seconds.

Super Shadow is stronger than that. '-' Super Shadow is literally damn near God level as he's completely invulnerable, and could literally destroy other gods. Final flash would do nothing against Super Shadow.

Bc in the IDW comics, which literally start right after Forces timeline-wise and mention past games, it's stated that the super forms are invulnerable. Also, a final flash from the Buu saga especially still isn't nearly on the level of Solaris.
