I’ve got a Strider MSS in PD1. It’s a few years old. Holds an edge forever, ultra tough, and effectively stainless. It’s awesome.

hooray, a video to watch while i have 4 different spyderco manix 2's on my lap trying to see which one cuts paper the best. My dog is wondering why i'm allowed to make a pile of shredded paper on the floor and he isn't. It's because I'm not a dog! I'm a man! a man with 4 knives and paper.

Is the HRC / Rockwell number known? Especially behind the edge to see if the steel has been burned up more than you were able to sharpen away, as it sonetimes sadly is the case with several production knives. If you ever got access to a UCI indentation-less Rockwell tester Cedric; that would be DOPE! That would be a game changer and contribute greatly to the applicability of your tests. Thanks for the video!👍

Hey Pete - loving the mule series! I have an idea I'd love to see for your bro science knerf lab - take it or ignore it as you will! I'd like to see how many times you can strop back a budget steel (like 8Cr13MoV or Aus-8). Reckon you'll ever get to do a chance where you do your sisal rope test where you cut till it's no longer slicing paper, strop & cut sisal rope again and again until you can no longer slice paper just with a strop back? If you can just strop back the budget steels almost indefinitely, it makes the super steels less useful IMHO. Would love to see if you could do this test!

You may want to check out this page before you start plugging Apple products... I know everybody has the right to make a buck and I don't blame you for doing so (I know you have to buy a s-ton of rope) but what's the manufacture of your desktop computer have to do with the testing of knife steel durability? kzread.info Just saying...

@@CedricAda Copy that Maverick (Top Gun reference), I was just asking. You should still check out Rossmann's videos though, you might be interested in learning why I was asking, or not, either way, like you, at this point I also give "zero fucks". A little feed back though... I know I'm just one guy out there in the ethos that likes to watch your videos but for what it's worth, I usually skip your clever intro sequences because I'm more interested in your analysis of the steel, but hey, I understand why you put them in there. Good luck with that Apple...
