PCT 2024, Feb Mt Gleason fastpack from Agua Dulce
Quick weekend fastpack from home, back to back marathon distance days with 7,200 feet of climbing day one and 3,400 feet day two. No snow on Gleason, I talked to the ranger at North Fork station and he confirmed the last storm to come through was just rain. He also said he hasn’t seen anyone go by in two weeks. Long distance thru hiking season starts next week so we should start seeing the first NOBO thru hikers in about a month.

Oh nice 👍 I save videos to KZread mostly for my own future reference so I never know if I should set them public or private or if anyone will get any use out of it.
Hola John… you took me down memory lane from last year hiking that trail with my husband ( you helped us by sending a text to our son).. last year at this date our mountains were covered in so much snow. Love seeing your videos always!!

Love the video. I've hiked north & south of MCS and Soledad Canyon Rd but not in between so, good to see it. Maybe I'll go through there later this spring.

I brought trail magic to MCSPA and Pony Park Day Use area Memorial Day weekend 2023. Most of the hikers order pizza etc from The Pizza Place in Acton and they deliver. Fruit, veggies, and Gatorade powder are good choices to bring to that area for trail magic.
