Turbo Outrun reimagined from developer Sk1ds is a modern take on Turbo Outrun and Outrun for the PC, merging the classic arcade racing experience with today's technology to create an immersive and visually stunning journey across the country. Best arcade game ever...period.
I'm liking that C-64 opening music.
It is missing one thing..... the Outrun music. It's iconic, truly.

Well I’m hearing the original C64 intro music of Turbo Outrun followed by a FM type of conversion of the C64 soundtrack. The in game music does not ring a bell.

Fantastic. Would love to see more graphics in the side areas, rather than just stripes, or a single solid colour. And, the CPU cars look like they are doing wheelies, rather than fixed to the ground. But, this is still fantastic, and I love this stuff.
with this new night shading it finally looks perfect.
I think I will stick to the blue Corvette with two Outrun girlfriends inside.
The game is beautiful...now where's my white racing gloves?

Its amazing, I got as far as you on my first try.. The test drive level as thats what it seems to be based off. And the lamborghini appears to be straight out of chase hq.

The asphalt graphics engine appears to have been taken from Horizon Chase.

Is it just me or this Ferrari sounding like a Trueno in this game? I love it!

Well spotted, perhaps Ferrari hired the AE86 engineers for their sound design team ;)
Most of it looks great, but there are some spots where it looks like it has placeholder graphics. Like that mountain road section. I know it looks like the original Test Drive game, but it feels really out of place with the rest of the Outrun style graphics.

It was mostly an attempt to recreate the look of Test Drive, just to see if it was possible. It reappears at a later stage, but a bit more dressed up.
I played this and found it to be bad, the car was autosteering somehow

Did the car drive by itself? Or did it only steer by itself? Perhaps the autopilot was turned on.
More crashes than an Atari ST
cool concept but, it just doesnt feel like outrun at all.

It shouldn't. I never intended to make an Outrun clone. It just happened. When creating this game, I was just trying stuff like: what if I add a time limit? And am I able to add the changing scenery? And add the turbo? And so on... And I needed sprites, sooo that's how it happened. 😆 It originally was just a superscaler clone and a physics engine.
