Usually WE pay for their stasi crimes, if he was sued personally, then that's the way to go for anyone/auditors in future, rather than the gang who back them up and their boss, spineless Mark Rowley. Why would he be bothered, he’ll be on full pay and benefits, also, on advice from his Police Federation representative, he will go on the sick due to “stress and anxiety” for the foreseeable future, further delaying any possible disciplinary proceedings, which tend to be a whitewash in all but the very worst cases, so basically he’ll be on a permanent holiday with no financial problems.😩

To Plod Or Not To Plod had a run-in with this repugnant character at Croydon police station a year or two back.

We’ve seen officers give severe beating and get away with it. This guy must feel unlucky, it was caught on camera and her child was so distressed. What about the incident in Manchester recently on video, that’s under “investigation”.

Pity so few get exposed in a systen/organisarion and culture that protects themselves rather than the punlic far too often, If only they understand we genuinely want a police force that is decent and honest.

Public gallery has been full of his mates for trial, verdict and sentencing. I sat next to them. Lathwood was escorted into a limo parked outside the court on red lines at his verdict.

Just goes to show how police get softer sentences then normal citizens

I left England over 50 years ago. Watching UK auditors over time has brought to me the decline of the police services ability to keep up with the speed of changes. The videos show, apart from the England of today, the inefficiency in the deployment to useless endeavors and what seems very little public education by them. Their training/retraining and control of the plods is abysmal, if they keep up the present attitude the police state will be sooner than later.

He has to be fired, if not then badge protecting him and not public

So, "Lawbreaker" Lathwood (50 years old and wearing a hairstyle he wishes could make him look 30 years younger) has got his come-uppance. And very well deserved too! ONLY fined £1500 (plus almost double that in other costs) and he's planning to appeal, when any Joe off the streets would now be enjoying the facilities at one of his majesty's holiday camps! Perry the criminal perpetrator would do well to remember that his appeal might be heard by a much less sympathetic magistrate/other legal official, who also has the power to increase his sentence. Now wouldn't that be a kick in the head as he has almost certainly performed that illegal action on more than one occasion while being protected by the Blue Clux Clown suit.

We're at a point in time where cops and low-life criminals look exactly the same.

If you build an automated system that allows a member of the public to travel without the need of human contact , you can not employ folk to double check every person otherwise you have defeated the purpose of replacing staff with an automated system . I too like the lady would have felt very indignant to be singled out of the crowd like that .

They will never be above the law.

The incident that occurred was a disgrace and a violation towards the victim. As a acting police officer and the way he handled and treated the victim in the situation was unacceptable and the incident should have never happened the way he dealt with it his duty of a police officer is to deal with the incident in a controlled and appropriate manner. He was not in any danger and was hands on and angry and violent with the victim. The incident was not a serious or violent crime but got out of control by the unprofessional and careless officer. The victim suffered and the sentence that he received is unacceptable and disgusting. But police officers get a special treatment for a offence in court. My thoughts and sadness go out to the victim who was let down by the justice system and judge. A statement from the officer would have been appropriate to say the least. And an apology was not given. Disgraceful behaviour and embarrassment from the police department.
