Plain clothes officer was out of order. The PCSO was fantastic. He showed that he clearly cares about his role and responsibility to the public. We need more officers like him - credit where it’s due

The PCSO was a nice guy with a great attitude but the lack of designation card is disappointing. Section 42 of the Police Reform Act 2002 requires PCSOs to produce a designation card upon request when exercising any of their powers. How can he comply with the legislation when he’s not even aware what a designation card is? I don’t think he can really be blamed for his lack of basic knowledge as this is obviously a widespread problem, judging by all the videos of PCSOs in England & Wales with no idea what a designation card is. The buck stops at the very top, as many police forces seem to be failing to comply with Section 38 of the Police Reform Act 2002, which states that “A chief officer of police shall not designate a person under this section unless he is satisfied that that person- (a) is a suitable person to carry out the functions for the purposes of which he is designated; (b) is capable of effectively carrying out those functions; and (c) has received adequate training in the carrying out of those functions and in the exercise and performance of the powers and duties to be conferred on him by virtue of the designation.”

Make a complaint. Refusing to ID is a discipline matter after Couzens and Carrick and others.

PCSO was very polite, professional, respectful and useful.

I'll go through the checklist: 1) Arrogant attitude? Check 2) Rude? Check 3) Condescending? Check 4) Ignoring police policy? Check 5) Insolent? Check 6) Tyrannical? Check Checklist complete. Yep! She's definitely a cop.

Bottom marks for the female police officer. Top marks for that PCSO. What a professional, nice chap.

"You are out of uniform. You are refusing to give your 3 identifiers as required. Given the latest state in the news with regard to rogue police or people impersonating police committing henious crimes, I must only assume you are an Imposter and shall be ringing 999. I am, as of this moment, placing you under citizens arrest for impersonation of a police officer. If you leave I shall report your registration plates to the police. If you attempt to exert force I shall defend myself with force sufficient to terminate your force."

Police literally just leave there cars wherever they like. She even had parking spaces and a curb to park on but just left it blocking a car from entering……. I avoid police…… just don’t trust them to be honest and fair

It is not illegal for a driver to eat, drink or smoke while driving, the police could still issue penalty points and a fine if they find that the driver was distracted while driving.

The station was constructed around 1999-2000 by Balfour Beatty. Front Desk forms an oval in the centre of building behind which is the duty office and seating and canteen area. Changing /locker rooms, gym, conference rooms and 8/13 lifts to left (car park side) and various offices and interview rooms, 8 holding cells in the rear to the right, 8. Mainly various offices on first floor

Purposeful, Prompt, Prepared, Polite, Properly dressed, Tyrannical, Thick, Ignorant and Offensive.

The pcso officer showed his professionalism and integrity which is a very important but rare skill in the police force this day and age. We need more officers like this to make the connection between the public and police better. But we seem to see more tyrant officers and not enough good ones

If that's how they wanna play, ask them to indentify themselves before answering any of their quest-shons.

I will approach a complete stranger but not identify and act rude and unprofessional when they learn probably never. All this on camera the bloke at the end was much better more professional and respectful. Day and night the questions should be why not just let it happen and then deal or not deal with it.😮

You should have called 101 & reported a crazy woman in plane clothes claiming to be a police officer & gave her reg number.

If they're doing nothing wrong, they having nothing to hide!

That woman who claimed to be an officer was very unprofessional and oddly secretive. Both highly suspicious characteristics. She needs further training and discipline but doubt she will get that so she will continue to break the standards expected of the police.

Police and pcso's are CONTRACTUALLY obliged to identify under their own police policy. Need to make a complaint to ipco.

Complain to professional standards, give date , time and reg no of car. They can then ID WPC Waynetta Couzens, be carefull if she tries to use a warrant card to arrest you using covid 19 regulations. I dont know why a bona fide police constable should have any problem with giving collar no, show warrant card, and station that they are attached to. Refuse to ID its reasonable to assume a problem.

He is required to carry his Designation Card st all times and if the force has failed to provide it, then he should be stood down until that is corrected. And his chief inspector given a good arse kicking for the failure.

It is frankly incredible for a PCSO to not even know what a Designation card is as it must be covered in basic training. It's specified explicitly in the very legislation that allows them to exist (which of course should be repealed ASAP). Without it they are just a clown in costume with zero powers beyond common law (i.e. the same powers as everybody else). His point about the powers often changing is PRECISELY why they need to carry it.
