PBS "P-Pals" Children's Programming Promos - 1996
Before Dot and Spot were introduced as official PBS Kids mascots in 1999, there were the P-Pals, fun little characters in the shape of the iconic PBS head logo. In between programs, many PBS stations would show small cartoons featuring the P-Pals that had songs, short quizzes, and trying to get young kids to go to the library.
There are many more of these P-Pals shorts on the internet, but these are the ones I found on a tape with those Arthur episodes.
Recorded from South Dakota Public TV in 1996. This clip is presented here for historical and archival purposes.

Oh yes, I remember the PBS P-Pals very well. I am thankful I grew up during this era, despite how much the P-Pals logo scared the crap out of me as a young boy!
For some reason while I still grew up with the dash and dot era There’s a certain charm. Of the p pals era that seems unmatched Now not every pbs kids show is good but the channel surprisingly has a lot of bangers Sesame Street is one of them, as well as Arthur, Thomas the tank engine, mr Rogers, zoom, zaboomafoo, even some of the modern stuff like let’s go Luna doesn’t look too bad
Thanks for sharing!
Finally, an Era that was peak. And does NOT have any blueberry inflation videos. Dash and dot: HELP WERE BLUEBERRIES P-pals: chill

They are awesome! I wish PBS kept them as the mascots of PBS Kids.

Do you have any episodes of the puzzle place? If do what episodes do you have?
Do you live in South Dakota?
I hope you find some missing episodes of the Puzzle Place real soon!
Are you going to reupload the remaining episodes of The Wumblers? Also, in the description, it's Dash and Dot, not Dot and Spot.
