@@lydsxoxo7600 I KNOW! I honestly think that killing off River was the shows biggest mistake right off the bat. There was so much room for some kind of complicated love triangle between Payton, River and Astrid. Like River being helplessly in love with Payton but refusing to act on his feelings because of social pressures and his loyalty to Astrid. But eventually he overcomes those barriers, breaks it off with Astrid, and attempts to go steady with Payton, only for him to be rejected by him. Because as we all know, Payton is willing to sacrifice/suppress just about anything, including his love for River in order to look his very best for his campaign. Though Payton refuses to go steady and public with River, he can't help but give into him physically and emotionally once and awhile (or maybe more than that) and after months of trying to keep a wall up between them he breaks and risks ruining his image to be with River...or something like that, I'm just sad. It doesn't matter where they could've taken the show plot wise with River and Payton, all I know is whatever it was Payton and Alice had/have is nothing compared to what they had. Side note: I can't stop thinking about the scene where Payton is supposed to look back in the hallway to reassure Alice but he doesn't because of the campaign and how he most definitely wouldn't have been able to pull that shit with River because he cares about him too much. I need sleep.

KingPinning You are so right most people who watch a show especially teens watch it normally for their favorite couple in the show, by killing off River, the show lacks an interesting side story, and let’s be honest nobody cares about Alice like at all her relationship with Payton is like so uninteresting it toxic and there is no love connection I feel that Payton is forcing his feelings for Alice because he doesn’t want to admit to everyone that he loves him, like HE LITERALLY ENVISIONS RIVER ALL THE TIME, I want to Email the directors and let them know that they must bring river back to life

There are choices in life, but killing River, girl, that was a choice.

Yes they were but as we go along in life sometimes the best parts get killed. I’m thankful for what they had and sometimes that’s all we have left. This show is amazing. ❤️

@Heorteji Ryan Murphy's an amazing producer. He did Glee, The Murder of Gianni Versace, American Horror Story and this. Cmon give the man praise he has good ideas. Rly good ones. Glee was a show for the history and ACS was so well thought it exploded with prizes. Same with AHS

I just want to point out that David's eyes are absolutely gorgeous, specifically from 1:48-1:52. I also want to note and have you all appreciate his acting chops, being that his eyes never waver when looking at Ben's character, Payton. Like, River is just looking into the deep depths of Payton and understanding and seeing every part of him - be it his thoughts, desires, pains, struggles, beauty - and allowing Payton to be himself. So subtle, but so powerful and beautiful.

How great would it be if this was not just our new superman, but our new batman beside him 😂

And look at him now, Superman! ❤

i don't even care if they bring him back by casting a spell that doesn't really fit the story... just bring him back!!

Lol honestly I’ve seen comments saying to do a CAOS crossover so he can be revived like I feel the same. Like many others say killing him was the worst thing of the show, the one thing I hated and almost the reason I didn’t continue but alas I pushed through and was heart broken each time he appeared 😢😭

Waiting for S2!! This is to help ya out of you're confused why there is so many scenes of these two. SPOILERS! MUST WATCH EP1 UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET SPOILED A TINY TINY BIT. River killed himself in episode 1. In future episodes, Payton has flashbacks about River and conjures him up in his mind. In ep 7 (or 8) he hides behind River when he sees Alice but River disappears showing that he was just a figment of his imagination. Even though this pair is meant to be, River is now gone and is a guardian spirit to Payton I guess. Watch the series!! Also awesome video!
