I now rent rather than buy due to my age. Whenever I have moved out, the landlord has always been gobsmacked at the cleanliness of the property. It doesn't take much to have respect for the property, and I always remember that they are taking the risk when letting it out.

When we rented we got the deposit all back each time. That’s with four kids and four dogs! We work full time both of us. It takes a team to keep up a place and consistency.

One of my biggest pet peeves, is people wearing shoes in the house. Doesn't matter if the weather is decent, you don't know what you've possibly stepped in. Admittedly I'm OCD but it gives me the heebie jeebies to even think about walking barefoot in my house when my landlord refuses to remove his shoes.

...you know, my apartment isn't always squeaky clean, and we sometimes get ants (we have two cats and live near a patch of woods, so it's inevitable that once ever few years they get into the cat food and we have to get rid of them), but I've never had a bathroom floor *drenched in waste* and a roll of toilet paper that has been *soaked* and then *dried*! Also, why would you *dry clothes* where you *smoke*???

​@worldsworstneighbours Back log in the court system after a "hold on evictions during covid" It is not supposed to take that long, but it does just waiting to get before a judge.

This is what we're going to have to do from next month. We don't have an issue with the landlord (or the rent) but I'm not taking my wife and children out of here until we've got somewhere to go to. The council have said if we don't go thru the court process (which can cost the landlord up to 3k) then we've made ourselves 'intentionally homeless' meaning we aren't eligible for help. It's not ALWAYS the tenants at fault in these situations

@@worldsworstneighbours thank you altho I can't see how it's going to. I'm disabled and my wife is my carer, we've got the money saved up to move but without a guarantor nobody will touch us. We've been here twelve years with a nightmare landlord who lived abroad and wouldn't do repairs despite the house being desperate for them. The couple of repairs they did in the early days caused more damage. Eventually he just stopped paying the mortgage so had the house took from him. The new landlords are OK we haven't had any issues with them other than them saying the repairs needed are too extensive so they want to sell the property. It's so unfair when we've been trying to get them done for years I've really no idea what we're going to do

I will never understand how people can live in such filth….if your home isn’t clean then what do you have and what the heck are you doing with your life!? Yeah I get nothing can be super clean all the time but I mean if you regularly dust sweep mop vacuum ect there’s no reason things should get too out of hand. What happened to the people who used to take pride in their homes?

Wow, coming across this video I'll have to say. The second home with billiard room ND to see how rest of home built really nice and pfft..it's nothing to take care of the lawn, cutting grass and always gotta scrub the deck specially when it's concrete, actually you shouldn't have to scrub it if you clean it every other day keeping it from getting into this condition. I'm American and always admired European country and I have to admit it I'm a suckered for the accent.. lol I would love to live there.

The property with all the trash? I'd call up some friends and we'd get that taken care of. All of the wood stuff, matresses, etc. would be piled up and burned, and the metal would be sold told a scrap yard.

Here you can not evict anyone easily. Tentants have rights. Which has helped me. Mostly getting my deposit back. I have taken every single landlord to Civil Court and got my money back. Now we have very strict laws to protect tenants

They are all there to protect the guilty and it’s the landlords and home owners that really pay the price. It makes my blood boil as I’ve been through it all with a nightmare tenant that basically trashed the entire property all while living there rent free and putting me behind with the mortgage repayments 😡

It would be taken out of the bond but if the bond doesn't cover it and the tenant can't pay we have a problem

🤣 Classic I found a similar ripped up note stuck in my door after the deal was closed on our current home. Truly some former tenants do not want to leave. They will try every avenue they can to get back into the home. Tell them, "Excuses are a lot like assh*les, everyone has them they all stink." There is no excuse to violate somebody else's rights. °~•.☆.•~°

Weird toilet, never saw one that the tank wasn't flush with the base and the hose isn't 3' long. Ours are so much more streamlined with a shutoff valve going into the floor so the hose comes out from the bottom of the tank and is only about 8' long. You can't even see it without bending over to look for it. You guys need to buy some of our lavs.

This is stupid. That toilet is leaking from the back and the owner wouldn't fix it. Ya need to fix the seal

Paying rent is for suckers! Dead end money paying off someone elses mortgage. Ohh but we should be greatful because we get to live in these dumps, we get to live in the rental providers problem lol. From someone that has rented for over 20 years, being a good renter or bad renter doesn't mean anything. You will most of the time get screwed. One other advice from someone who has rented for over 20 years, never breached, all bonds returned.. Go the legal paper root, use tribunuals, use courts, send notices. Don't be afrraid, if you don't, you will be taken advantage of.
