i believe Payday 3 will become great in the future i have high hopes and trust the devs. But for now its slowly fading away, i love this game more than Payday 2 and has a special place in my heart and i want to see it succeed. Lets hope Starbreeze does some miracle to save it.

Very well said! Offline has now been confirmed, Which is fantastic! We've been very vocal, And theyve been listening! But the tardiness of the devs nearly destroyed their series! And that's not the first time!

I have not played payday 3 and I haven't kept up with it since it's launch so everything I say may have changed or be straight up wrong since this is just what I see and hear about it. I also haven't watched the last 3-4 mins of the video since I'm in a bit of a hurry. I mostly agree with you. I don't want to see payday die as a franchise but I also don't feel like I have to support the game. If they have a product that is superior to the new one then I'll have payday 2 thank you. I'm not rich, I don't have money to burn and I also have stuff to do also there are other good games to play so I'm not desperate either. Of course sending death threats to the devs or spreading negativity about the game is bad(imo new players should be made aware of payday 2 being better though) For me personally payday 3 looks bland it's not that it doesn't have hundreds of guns it's that it has boring looking guns, the skills aren't as cool as payday 2 either It lacks that ridiculous charm. Also the fun guns grenade launchers and stuff have to be earned I already found their limited ammo in payday 2 a bad mechanic this is just worse for me.I also heard something about progression being ass and standing in circles doesn't sound as fun as protecting the drill (despite being basically the same thing) but these sound easy enough to fix I think the contrast in our opinions stems from the fact that you are a fan while I'm more an average player, as well as me playing payday 2 for slightly different reasons than you. Pretty well put together video though

i agree to some of your point. Skills in Payday 2 are not exactly as charming as some think i have been playing the game since 2017 and have over 3k hours (i know im boring) but the skills are verry generic. Oh make lmgs and rifles do more damage yay, let shotguns do more damage yay, pistols do more damage, oh here is a crit build yay or here is a low concealment build. With Payday 3 you can mix with every guns with every skills, thats not the case with Payday 2, if you want a specific weapon class to be good you need to have that specific skill set to make that weapon class effective. That does not apply to Payday 3 as every weapon can be effective regardless of what build you use. Secondly grenade launchers somewhat ruined the fun for me as they are legit a ticket to every situation possible. I like making things challenging for me and i tend to stay away from rocket launchers/ Grenade launchers. I can understand the game being bland in someway, but it is a more quality than some other recently released games throughout the years. Like i said in the video at least its not like cyberpunk type of release.

As a massive payday 2 fan and someone who looked forward to payday 3 for years, I am really saddened that payday 3 failed. I really want this game to be as big or even bigger than payday 2. I hold out hope that it gets revived.

@@just1randomboyo I agree, Operation Medic Bag looks really good. I just wish they worked on these things before the release, PAYDAY 3 could've been the next big thing. I'm afraid a lot of people will not give it a second chance once these changes are implemented. Maybe with some heavy marketing, we can only hope!

I haven't played the game since release, but Darktide released in a terrible state and thanks to the latest fantastic updates (Skill trees full rework+new free levels) it's now my go to Coop game with DRG. Anything is possible I suppose, it's all in this strike team's hands now, if it doesn't recover it might be dead for good.

Regarding the Dying Light 2 similarity there's one key difference. Techland was able to turn the story around because their focused all their efforts into regularly updating the game. With Starbreeze however PD3 is not their focus, its baxter, their dnd game. PD3 is just a skeleton crew of a few devs and outsourcers, most of who need to work on the already planned dlcs which makes any major changes to the game take forever. Their plan with pd3 was to release and it instantly abandon it for the next game while a small team milks it with dlc and microtransactions on the side, and at the moment they are refusing to change this plan even when the game desperately needs more resources allocated. And that ties into why people are so negative about the game, because theres a huge radio silence for months between every update while sbz is acting like everything is fine, makes it look like they dont give a shit. I agree with the fact that the players are going to far with showing their distaste, but its the result of 10 years of sbz continiously disrespecting the community and learning nothing

i highly doubt their plan was to release pd3 and abandon it because if they did we wouldn't be getting these updates or quality of life changes by now and only update the game based on the road map. Secondly Starbreeze do genuinly listen at certain times but sure they are ignorant mostly but they do listen from time to time which is better than never listening at all. Techland does regularly update the game only like a couple of months but are filled with huge amount of content and im guessing thats what Starbreeze are doing with Pd3. When it comes to microtransactions i do not really care about it mainly because i don't spend money on microtransactions or rarely do and the simply solution i have is don't buy it, it may sound easier said than done but for me i can ignore it entirely look at DL2 as an example where they introduced microtransactions and that caused a huge fiasco but now the situation is more calmed down.

@@just1randomboyo abandon was perhaps not the right word, what I mean is they wanted pd3 to work like how they handled pd2 in the later years. A very small team supporting it with dlc and small updates every once in a while, and the rest of the company working on a new game. Their expecations were that because of a slow update cycle worked for the past 4 years, it will keep working for a new game, but they failed to realize that it only worked for pd2 because it was already full of content and people tolerated it while waiting for pd3. Now they are in a pickle because they already have a contract to make a DnD game, but PD3 desparately needs all the attention. So they have two choices: 1. Either forcus on PD3 and risk loosing the dnd license they desparately want (Starbreeze wants to become a live-service licenced game developer and publisher, because they dont believe in new IPs, they said this themselves in an investor report) 2. Focus on Baxter and hope the small team can perform a miracle and bring PD3 back and they dont go bankrupt again. So far they are choosing to do the latter. hopefully they will realize that wont work and move more people back to support pd3

Wouldn't be suprised if it does what Ubisoft did with the Division or what happened down the line with Payday 2. And that is totally overhaul main mechanics of the game over a patch.

If the other aspects of the game is as good as the gameplay the game would be very good.

True, the core gameplay and guns and movement as well as the enemies in the game is great, but everything else is sadly irritating and annoying.

It shouldn't have been always online, it would have had a far more stable launch and the devs could work on improving the game rather than saving it, end of really.

Well for it to improve they need to add a huge update that could help the game and make it replayable and offline mode is something that desperately needs to happen as soon as possible

It’s not in our hands, you can’t speak for the dev team or the community of payday. Payday 3 is just not a good game at the moment, when they overhaul the mechanics about „hacking“ ( staying in a circle) and the unecessary large amounts of civilians ruining stealth runs over and over again. Or furthermore fix their crappy menu and loadout settings in the lobby. If they fix all this and bring out more content and endgame content worth grinding for and releasing the graphic update and then start a new advertising campaign. Then I’m sure that more people would play this game. About threatenings and hate on the internet, there’s nothing that we can do about, there are always toxic people on the internet. Ps it’s the new generation of gamers hopping and switching games on and off regarding hypes of games. They are fast pased players bowadays

I am aware the new generations are used to fast paced but fucking hell they treat payday 3 like its apex legends or other fast paced games. The graphics are solid i don't think it needs rehauling the only thing that needs rehauling are the UI and progression and i agree the hacking circles need it as well including bugs, but other than that the game is fine.

DEVS PLZ SAVE PAYDAY 3 plz bring offline back my WiFi too slow add more guns and mask and better ways to grind cash also add more ammo and outfits and one slot for create a character I’ll love you for life and promise to pay 100 for all yours games 😂

Cyberpunk 2077 had a beautiful game at launch filled with bugs, payday 3 had a void of a game at launch filled with bugs. There is no comparison. I’ve bought both at launch and payday 3 was the biggest garbage I bought this year. I finished cyberpunk at launch btw on a PS4 pro while it crashed 40 times yet was worth it.

Dont get me wrong, payday 3s launch was terrible and the game 100% has some awful flaws. However, i think what is ultimately killing the game are the fans. Payday 3 mechanically and visually is 1000x the better game, but the fanbase simply refuses to move on. I do understand why though, clearly payday 3 has less content than Payday 2 did even on launch, not including the 60+ dlcs.

stop being loyal to companies. they are only loyal to your money. they will present a turd to you with gilding and fanfare just to seperate you from your money. you can safely be loyal to individual developers and follow their careers. like Chris Avellone or that pirate software guy. a game company changes developers, and developers are the most important component. i doubt that the individuals that made payday 1 and 2 are still at the studio.

If this was made by EA then yes it would have been a bad thing to remain loyal but since this is Starbreeze or overkill or whatever, I have faith on Almir and Starbreeze that they can do something, sure they are ignorant and can be questionable mostly but on certain times they are more human than some other companies.@@Tacdelio

Thats what it is, but people are far too fucking blinded by nostalgia of payday 2 and expect payday 3 to have 50 plus weapons and heists.
