All great old things deserve a good home somewhere. The thing i love about pawn shops is they give these things from our history as human beings a second chance to shine in our present day. There is no doubt that history is the most important thing we share as people and its something that can close gaps between nations.

It's the opposite, it was believe to bring you (and your family) protection from bad luck. The correct word would be "Tombak" literally mean "Spear" with kriss spearhead, we called this "keris tombak" (spear kriss). Old kriss usually made from meteorite, so it was thought as a gift from heaven (falling from the sky).

Well you know, most of the keris can stand on its own. Because if the 'empu keris' (the maker) skill is good enough, they can balance the keris and made it stand. But, you need to hold it with the sarung keris to make it stand. If the keris can stand without being hold with the sarung, it may have something else inside it.

Very rare INDONESIAN heritage material. And as we know, that the material is not for trading or other economic purposes but it is a symbol of the glory of a nation or the noble value of local wisdom. many of us believe that by selling you will be cursed. @joey I hope it won't be happened to you. It's just a folktales of course! in making of keris the keris maker (called Empu) was not for economic purposes but at the request of the king at the time to describe an event or as an inscription for a particular event. it's like an airplane blackbox that records certain events. Many people here can talk to it and the keris tells what happened at that time. Thank you for keep it for us :D

As someone who worked in shops that brought second hand entertainment stuff we give quick and easy cash, don’t like it then sell privately
