@PrinceEyeAllah also they are so much easier to grow. No trellis required and they fruit on the very first pad you plant. I will try it when mine flowers.

@FullmoonEffects89 if you have seeds from a crossed fruit you're willing to share I would love to graft some seedlings to a dragonfruit rootstock(or maybe the prickly pear rootstock would be better for hardiness)
