Doc Block's TROPICAL BACKYARD Paradise Tour - Ep. 301
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
If you're into Aroids, then you may have heard Doc Block's name here and there-since there are some of his hybrids on the market (e.g., Anthurium 'Michelle') and even some plants named after him (though by the courtesy of other folks). However, he has quite a penchant for a range plants, and has turned his Florida residence into a backyard paradise of palms, ferns, cycads, aroids, and more.
We paid a visit to his home after the cold snap in Florida and took a tour through the land. (This is part 1 of a two-part series).

Another great tour, love how Dr Bloc explained controlling landscaping based on specific spaces. Mr Greg Hambali is still very much alive though he’s not rolling in his grave just yet 😀. Looking forward to more tours like this!

What an honor to tour such a delightful mature garden 🪴💙
Beautiful Doc. Block just loves his Garden and speaks so passionately. What a privilege for you to be able to tour his gardens . He should host children's botanical hours . I would do anything to spend a day in his Gardens with him . Honestly, I would just pitch up a hammock and move in and never leave .
What an amazing garden. No, it’s a paradise! This is one very happy man!
What a feast for the eyes! His collection of cycads, orchids, and bamboo are stunning! I love his energy too. Truly you can see how much he cares for each of his plant. Very inspiring-thank you, Summer for this wonderful presentation of his garden!
I would really like to hear more of what he has to say since his insight and experience seem more valuable.
I really love when you make videos like this. You are so good at doing interviews. It would also be fun if you could visit private collection at peoples homes like you did before 🥰
I could listen to Dr. Jeff all day
I can really feel Summer's excitement while touring this garden 😍 Rightfully so! This was so beautiful to see.

We're blessed to live in a wonderful part of the United States!
As a fellow "planty" physician, with a fellowship in Integrative Medicine, Dr. Block's garden is a personal goal. I'm likely too old myself to achieve the garden he has, but I'm sure going to try. Thanks for sharing your space, Doc, and thanks for doing such a wonderful video tour, Summer!

What a wonderful 75 year old sago plan & 35 year old ponytail palm what a delight
Ohhh my heart blows with so much beauty!!! Thank you for showing it to us💜 and to Dr Block to allow us to watch this piece of paradise he grown so wisely and carefully. 💜💜💜

This garden is exquisite... One of the best... Doc Block seems like a gentleman and so knowledgeable... This was a great view...
I LOVE LISTENING TO HIM!!!! GOOD MORNING ❤ reminds me of my dad who is also a doctor. My dad Always loved plants. But when I started my own plant binge during the pandemic, he got to be more of a lover and collector than me 😂 it's always a bonding thing. He talks Bout his plants just like this man
This is such a great garden tour. I wish there was more talk about soil amendment, fertilizer, and general care of the plants.
What a spectacular and amazing garden!! Many thanks to Doctor Block for sharing it with your viewers! So inspiring!!
I am a professional horticulturist and landscape designer. I find this a truely magnificent garden one of the very best I have seen. Most of those plants can be found growing in Gardens here in Durban but no garden l know of can compare with it ❤❤❤.
Exquisite! Love these tours. Chad's tour at Fairchild is my favorite relaxation video to date. Looking forward to more content featuring him.

Ah, great episode... Florida is shangri-la for plant lovers. Such a magical place. Thanks for inviting us along
big thanks to dr. block for allowing us to tour. loved seeing all the stuff i use to grow when i lived in south florida. the medinilla on the rock wall was awesome, we use to grow them right in the tops of big platyceriums. speaking of platyceriums the coronarium is outstanding! we use to grow dendrobium, oncidium and phalaenopsis orchids in a similar fashion covering the trunks of trees and they really are spectacular when they bloom. thanks summer for another great tour.

I appreciate that he keeps the lawn just as nice as the landscape. I actually liked hearing the lawn mowers in the background
I love this! When I lived in Miami, I had the most beautiful, thriving outdoor plants on my patio. My husband and I even managed to grow a mangrove from a propagule we found floating in the ocean. I miss that!
We need more of these kind of tours, Summer!
Love these tours of other peoples gardens and house collections ❤🌞❤️
An almost psychedelic expression of plant life on Earth. Proof that ‘anything is possible’ in our incredible universe.
Absolutely stunning! Thank you Ms. Summer and Dr. Block!❄️💚🙃
I love Doc Block, such a cool and interesting gentleman and wow Chad Husby turns up too! Love the old trees and all the epiphytes on them; amazing! Such an awesome collection, seeing all those houseplants outside growing like in nature. And cute cats! 💚

It would be wonderful to have another visit 6 months from now when different things are in bloom, but during our rainy season it can be oppressively humid outside! Even if its not raining, the camera lenses (and my eye-glasses) have problems with fogging!
Can't you just feel the amazing light and energy coming from these plants, pure joy!! thank you for showing this .
