Pauline Hanson questions ‘where’ the skilled migrants are
One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson has questioned “where” the skilled migrants are in Australia.
Ms Hanson joined Sky News Australia to discuss whether the country’s migration levels should be reduced.
“Between 2022 and 23, 737,000 migrants came into the country,” she said.
“51,605 were of the skilled category - of that, only 1,800.
“That’s 0.4 per cent of 1 per cent were actually in the building trade industry, so go figure - where are skilled migrants?”

I am a skilled migrant and I agree with Pauline. The country is buckling under the incessant tide of arrivals who want to call Australia home putting rents and housing prices sky high. This destroys the quality of life for everyone including the new migrants. Just look at Canada, their irresponsible and easy migration program has made a once great country with the highest living standards unlivable for the old and new residents alike. Labour and left parties need a large underclass of welfare dependent voters to survive but at the expense of a thriving and wealthy society. It is time to put away bigoted views of Pauline and people who support her in the interest of a better future for Australians.

what most people don't realize is that a lot of Australians don't want to do lots of jobs that Australia needs people to do. So the gov gives them PR after a certain number of years doing that job. Then after they get their PR they will leave that job and do something else. So maybe - just maybe - if OZ people would take those jobs in the first place that would be a good start.

Well, I live in the UK. Fact is that in our own country, there are now fewer & fewer people of British ethnic origin. The British indigenous population has now become a minority in many of our major cities including London, Birmingham, Leicester, etc. I foresee a day not very far in the future, when even if Australia decides to have immigrants only from Europe, you will still have people of Asian and African origin - as they will be the majority in Europe by then. Sounds incredible, but we are fast headed that way.

I moved to Australia about 10 years ago and now working as a registered nurse in rural Victoria. Everyday we are working short staffed as the hospital can’t get any locals to work in the bush. That’s why some of the workplaces rely on these skilled migrants.
INFRASTRUCTURE AUSTRALIA 10 YEARS AGO said Australia is 20 years behind in enough infrastructure to support the current population AND WE WILL NEVER CATCH UP! The problem is being compounded by ageing assets, rising road congestion, public transport crowding and growing demands on so-called “social infrastructure”, such as schools, hospitals and parks, as more people move into cities. The IA report warns that in order for Australia to cope with a forecast population of 31.4 million people in 15 years’ time - an increase of 23.7% - spending on infrastructure will need to remain at about $40bn a year. TAX PAYERS ARE FUNDING THESE REPORTS AND Government after Government can't keep up with the demand. WHO IS RUNNING THIS COUNTRY INTO THE GROUND!

I got a company to update a home, and when I visited the site, I met these guys. I wonder if they are legal workers. Even though they can't speak English, their fee is high. One of these workers also tried to con me into buying substandard tiles and charging me normal aussie price. When I gone to the shop looked at the tiles, the guy said it's $49 per m2, I said no straightaway. I went on to buy something from a bigger shop and choose a nice tile at $69 per m2. Later I found out their trade price is $20 per m2, so the foreign worker would have made the margin of $29 per m2 for substandard tiles. At first I felt sorry for this guy because he was saying he was living in his car so I offered him to stay at my parents house for free while my parents are on holiday. But the guy ended up sleeping in not just the guest bed room but also slept in my parents bed. I was so upset and asked him to go. There's no point feeling sorry and helping this type of person.

So many migrants working for the likes of Fedex Euro Garage Coles Woolworths BWS Liqorland...These aren't skilled positions...Taking jobs/second jobs from Australians...
every thing has gone Peter Tong...everyone is now a real estate speculator and a netflix watcher
spent years in UQ for a degree, min. 3 years experience for a normal full-time entry level job in software on graduate 🎉🎉 otherwise A$70,000 including super for graduate position if you get one. not mentioning NIL C# or .Net course offered, while it's all about microsoft in Oz market. very developed society 👏🏼👏🏼 of course, student loan re-pay level remains and inflation included adjustments.
Im a sskilled migrant. Took me 10 years to come and am working in infrastructure development. Lots of my peers aee working hard but the issie is the temporary visas who have limited skills and get fired soon after arrival. Its a shit show.

Be very careful with those guys. I've heard some have fraudulent degrees, and many their skills are not up to scratch. They are from the third world, their system is far far below ours.
Almost none of the immigrants flooding in have any skills. All they do is drive Ubers and deliveroo

Just wait until they have settled in, then they will run rings around the old Australians. Migrants always do, I know that I did.
Dude, those jokers can't even build enough houses for the people already here.
Skilled migrants ????Most of them are working Uber ‘service stations or getting dodgy licenses from dodgy driving instructors and taking all of the truck drivers jobs.
A darran my fuckin rent is going through the roof am sick of this bullshit
The disconnect between price and value! Why are the prices of homes in AUSTRALIA so RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE... AND SO FAR FROM WHAT THE AVERAGE WORKER CAN AFFORD.... AND SO POORLY BUILT....COMPARED TO OTHER PROPERTY AROUND THE WORLD.... in most European countries, YOU CAN PURCHASE A SMALL CASTLE FOR THE SAME PRICE AS A DOG BOX IN SYDNEY! G L O B A L I S M! Millions of dollars was and still is flowing into Australia competing against the average wage earner, to purchase a home. Outsourcing labour from a rich country to a country where labour is cheap to cut costs and maximise profits. Globalism has caused prices of goods and services to fall, big profit to companies, so the average punter gets cheap goods and the big companies make more profit. Where do the GLOBALIST spend their money .... ASSETS.... BUYING HOMES.....STOCKS.... this has caused an imbalance.
