@Lee Bentley each to there own lee. At least you can look back at yourself when you were 24 and say you made no mistakes. Probably didn't have the weight of being the front man of a cracking band. Probably couldn't even pay ya TV licence. Listen to the song and enjoy it. Its just a fucking song.

So lovely to see him singing with his daughter, she has a wonderful voice and looks like her mum 💓❤️💓

@@GT380man oh yeah man Weller is one of the best ever no one can convince anyone different, I was just saying that Ashcroft is another brilliant songwriter now and I think has loads of beautiful songs so I’d disagree that Paul is the last person making good music

Paul Weller is a musical genius, his back catalogue is strewn with mega hits, uncompromising in his approach and a genuinely nice guy to boot.

The greatest english songwriter of ours & everyone's generation. And his daughter looks so much like her mother ! ☺

Great, YES. Greatest? No. I am a huge Jam fan, admire and respect Weller's enormous contributions to our music world but "the greatest English songwriter"? You are forgetting Lennon/McCartney, Pete Townshend, Ray Davies.... shall I continue?

Ray Davies fantastic for a decade, Weller fantastic for 5 decades. Beats absolutely everyone on longevity.

Agree.as I get older like his tunes more.was never a big fan of the Jam but his lyrics are good and have stood the test of time

Met Dee at a party in Canning Town she started singing and the room went silent , she had it even then special moment

That’s some chorus!! Think Leah’s the star there. Yea, I met Weller too. At a recording of the Zombies fir mastertapes in Maida Vale Studios. So I sit down and look across the floor and he’s sitting opposite me staring. As the hair comes into focus, I think “ that’s Paul a Weller” as he’s still looking. He clocks me realise and I look away. D@“£. I fee so bad for not just treating him like normal and smiling. Poor Paul. Must get that all the tome. I didn’t bother him in the break tho. Everyone just spoke to people beside them. And he comes across as so sharp, honest and almost shy here. New found respect for him and his Dad after watching “About the new idea” docu. And Leah’s a chip 💕 🎵 what a voice.

@@paintingholidayitaly Yep - my feelings exactly. I am not a psychologist but I do feel the tensions in the Police resulted in better output than Sting solo although everyone in the band is probably mentally happier pursuing their own projects.

@@paintingholidayitaly The thing is Paul Weller sort of despised that sort of fame. He didn’t want to sell his soul to record companies, he just wanted to make music, so Paul can’t exactly be compared to huge stars such as David Bowie. Paul never did anything he didn’t want to.
