This shoe is such a classic. I, like a lot of ppl in the comments, would love to see a rerelease of these. I didn’t even learn that you had a signature shoe until the PRod 2. But if we never get another classic P Rod, videos like these will only add to the legend of P Rod: the best skater ever.

Ahh man The QS pairs are so sick. Especially the pair with the canvas they always reminded me of the Paris SB dunk. All of them are so dope I wish Nike SB would retro all the older gems so we can relive the days again.

Thanks a lot for the nice review of your iconal pro model! In 2005 Nike SB got into the austrian market and i was one of the few riders who got three stuff to promote the new brand. At that time the P-ROD 1 and SB Dunk were my favourite shoes. The sb dunk had the best boardfeeling and the prods the best impact support. Its crazy how time flies and when i look back to this time i am really proud of beeing one the first local riders. I still skate sb dunks but miss the impact support of the prods. The prods combined the best of two worlds. Keep on the great work, paul!

That last one you showed...Albertson's logo on the toe, a Jumpman on the heel, and elephant print to finish it off! What a legendary shoe!

This shoe in blue and white was the first skate shoe I wore after wearing the Stevie Williams and other DC models exclusively. Some of my favorite shoes ever. They looked great just walking around in too. Hoping, like many others, this is hinting towards a re-release!

Hey Paul, I hope you see this comment. My best friend has one of the very first pre-production samples of the p-rod 1. Has smooth airbags without the bumps in them. And the tag inside the tongue instead of saying "zoom air/paul rodriguez/ proprietary", it says "zoom air/ P-ROD / proprietary ". The whole airbag piece is actually a completely separate piece of the sole whereas with the release version, the airbag feature was molded as one piece with the rubber of the sole. They are also in your personal size. 9.5 rather than typical sample size 9. We consider them the holy grail of P-Rods and he has them on display at all times 😂 We're both huge p-rod collectors. Best shoes ever!

I’ve got some special shoes but none are as special to me as my pair of P-Rod 1’s. Bought them at GOODS (r.i.p) in Seattle in 2005. Been a die hard SB fan ever since. I have every iteration of your shoes. Inspired a lot of young Latinos of my generation. Always been a great role model. Thanks Paul!

Held onto a pair of Stash's that I never wore for soo long. Sold them recently and I regret it, even if it was 4x the cost of it originally. Would love to see another pro model that kinda goes back to your roots with the original. Maybe "modernize" em, kinda like eS did with the newer Accel. There's no way those miss. Big fan! Funny thing a couple days ago I literally googled PRod Nike skate shoes. And found nada. And then you come out with this video is cool.

Love the prod 1s mannn. I had the Navy/ white n gum color and later the the black grey and red one. Absolutely fire to skate and just rock.

Keep going with this series. I'd like to see all the shoes you've done with Nike.

Definitely need some reissues. The 2s are my favorite. Especially the color way that looks like Jordan fours.

Those are classic but it's the 2s for me that really had the sauce. Still have a couple pairs that I wear every now and then and promptly clean and put back on the shelf. They're just so damn beautiful and the materials are like nothing else. Love the feeling of nostalgia they give when I wear them. Props

This! Never had a pair, but loved seeing them in person and in CCS catalogues.

The Prod 1's were a perfect shoe, and even 18 years later still would be ideal to release as they have everything a skater would want in a cupsole, both in function and looks: not bulky, great toe shape, colorway opportunities are endless, protective of your feet, and very comfortable. If you see this Prod, if you have the ability to talk with NikeSB, please try to have these shoes be part of the regular line up of release. There's no need for any retooling, a 1:1 re-release would be amazing of this shoe.

U gotta drop those again one of my favorite shoes growing up 2023 need these back

i just bought the cinco de mayo prod 1s, i’m super hyped to get em in, i’ve wanted em for the longest but i could never find em in my size.

I had a pair of the all black p-rod 1 with the red laces and I would try and do a front side flip on a pyramid looking thing in the back of target when I was little I just wanted to be like you p-rod and do the tricks as smooth as you do them ( even though I never got close to landing them at all 😂)such a inspiration 🙏🏻 bless you
