Paul Pena from the movie Genghis Blues,Good Horses

Музыка

This is a video concert extra from the rare film,"Genghis Blues" starring the late Paul Pena.He performs using the unique Tuva throat singing method in which two vocal cords are used at the same time producing a frog-like sound heard only in certain parts of the world..Paul Pena also wrote the song,"Jet Airliner" made famous by rocker,Steve Miller in the mid 70's.This is a very rare performance..

My mom took me to see this movie because I was into guitar and she was cool and it blew my mind. Later saw some Tuvan singers on tour, stunning. Never got to see Paul, but there’s always that glorious original of “Jet Airliner.” The only guitarist possibly more fluid than Cale. Like water, you don’t always know where it’s going but it never leaves the stream.

That overtone melody that Kongar-ol Ondar is awesome. It's funky, with nice rhythm and so in control. You hear the 'whistle' sound of the overtones more than you hear his voice! This mix of Paul and him are a match that heaven could not have better made.

Ejem.... ¿two vocal cords?? Vocal cords or folds are ONE ORGAN which helps producing sound by vibrating as the air passes through. This video shows the tecnique called "overtone singing" ( "canto multifónico" en español), consisting in highlight some harmonic sounds over the basic tone.

As great as it is listening to this type of throat singing, nothing compares to actually singing it yourself. I'm telling you, you don't need drugs, because this singing gets you high. I think there's something about having a fundamental tone and then an octave, twelfth, and then another 6th above that (which I guess would be an eighteenth) all ringing inside your head, that is so soothing, it's wonderful. Try it.

koyunbaba73 No. You are just ignorant. There are certainly some erroneous accusations circling around on the internet about improper Talmud translation. Irregardless, the true Hebrew passages show an undeniable prejudice toward anyone non-jewish. It is YOU who are unlearned and deeply hypocritical in your insults. My source of information is from a jewish Israelite scholar who spread the word about his hypocritical religion and clearly refused its immoral teachings.

Optimus Primal No, you're the one who is ignorant. And your Jewish friend doesn't know what he's talking about. And I'm not going to waste my time defending the only righteous country in the Middle East to people who have already made up their minds about what an evil place Israel is. I'll put it to you this way: I don't care what any of you think. I made a comment about singing. If you have nothing relevant to say about singing, then don't bother me. The fact that you people are frothing at the mouth about my picture, which has nothing to do with the video, just reveals what a bunch of obsessive Jew-haters you really are. You all should work at the UN.
