Merse was ridiculously underrated, if he was raised in the modern era he'd be like Kevin De Bruyne. Had great technique, flair, creativity and always had an eye for goal. There was a reason they called him the "Magic Man". Unfortunately successive England mangers of the 90s rampant dislike of Arsenal players cost him & Ian Wright the real opportunities to shine on the international stage.

This channel is pure gold! I live in Italy, and almost 15 years ago I saw on espn channel every arsenal season review from early '90's to 2005. With this videos I clearly remember those times. I believe that every fan would like to have a channel like this dedicated to his favourite team. Thanks for your effort!

What a player. And wasn't he drunk or on drugs during his playing days? Imagine him as player if he had been sober lmao

At this stage he was sober. But through the bulk of his career, alcohol did affect him and his performances(particularly when we had a torrid 94/95 season).

@@Mlaargaar oh he was? Got ya. Yeah, I think most of our boys were big drinkers until Arsene came. That discipline was the big difference between us and Man Utd in the early to mid 90s.

@@45ginolano question. That was a massive factor to some of our poorer performances, like our defeat to Millwall(I wouldn’t recommend watching it, it’s a horror show).
