And I finally had tickets to see him live. Every other time, I was too poor or touring myself as I performed for half the year for twenty years of my life. Anyway. It was cancelled due to Covid19 and wonder if I'll ever see him live now. Maybe next year if this vaccine works. Glastonbury would have been such a place to see him live.
Paul will always be that young boy of the 60s, it doesn't matter if today's his 78th birthday. His beautiful music keeps his heart and soul young. There are no words to express our admiration and gratitude to all what you have given to humankind. Happy Birthday Sir Paul!

Every year or so I go back through his entire catalog to see if I have caught up to his genius. For example, I remember when Back To the Egg came out in 79' and was so completely annoyed at that album. I mention this because just 3yrs prior I went to his Wings Over America concert in KC and it was my first concert ever and I was blown away. Last year or so I revisited that and finally caught up to Paul and said to myself.. "oh I get it now".. That s just how good Paul is..

80 years young.
IN THE YEAR 2500 PEOPLE WILL LEARN IN SCHOOLS HOW GENIUS WAS PAUL MCCARTNEY
So many of his tunes really lift the spirits. The way he can spin on a sixpence and transition from the joy of 'Penny Lane' to the heart-ache of 'For No One' to the raucousness of 'Helter Skelter' the poignancy of 'She's Leaving Home' and the humour of 'Rocky Racoon' is quite amazing.
He's the best musician of the world.

Yo era un "young boy" cuando esta canción apareció y me voló la cabeza. Hoy sigue haciendo lo mismo al provocarme un hermoso sentimiento de nostalgia por el año 1997.
Every year or so I go back through Paul's entire catalog to see if I have caught up to his genius. For example, I remember when Back To the Egg came out in 79' and I was so completely annoyed at that album. I mention this because just 3yrs prior I went to his Wings Over America concert in KC and it was my first concert ever and I was blown away. Last year or so I "went back to the egg' and finally caught up to Paul and said to myself.. "oh I get it now".. That s just how good Paul is.. Today, 2021.. I love that Lp.. I just didn't realize it in 1979. But - I get it now!.. And so, today, I go back through his entire catalog again to see if I have caught up to Paul.. and I say to myself.. Damn!! - Flaming Pie was a damn good album.. I get it now!.. I mean, I have always "gotten it" about Paul's music.. but I indeed very much enjoy going back and restarting the trip again for I always find something new...
It used to be so hit and miss with Paul. Tug Of War was outstanding. Pipes Of Peace a dud. Press a dud, Flowers In The Dirt amazing. But now his entire catalog has a wonderful charm to every single album. Even the ones I used to hate, like Wildlife. Even Press and (maybe) Driving Rain have their charm. Now his entire catalog are just a single collection of great classics, memories and history. Ram, Tug Of War, New, Chaos and Creation, and of course this one, Flaming Pie are all miles ahead of the pack. Love the video. Love the song. Love the album. More now than ever.

@@katethomas5712 : Paul's childhood home and neighborhood are pretty. The other Beatles childhood homes are not far away. But the magic is done in yourself, in your head, by combining your knowledge of the Beatles, their career and that of Paul. I did not approach his childhood home closely because I had just taken a "Beatles Tour" bus , which makes just a global tour (Woolton district with passages in front of the Beatles childhood homes, Strawberry Field, Penny Lane .. .). It's possible to access to Paul's house by booking via nationaltrust.org.uk/beatles (but no direct access inside the house). Approaching Penny Lane, when the bus put on the song, I discreetly cried. My next time in Liverpool (I come from France... Sorry for my bad english), I'll get time enough in front of each Beatles childhood, either by a special ''Beatles taxi'' or by rented bike (better). Another must-see in Liverpool, apart from the Carvern Club : ''The Beatles Story'' (Beatles Museum on Albert Dock ): A must ! I highly recommend it. An incredible Museum ! Liverpool is a cool city,. People there are very friendly. And the Scouse accent is just .... destabilizing for an unaccustomed ! LOL !
@katethomas5712
4 жыл бұрын
@@woolton6385 Wow, thank you so much for your answer. Your English is brilliant by the way (much better than my French!) I think you are right about the magic happening inside your own head. I've been to Liverpool many times, sat by the Albert Dock listening to the music pumping out of the Beatles Story on a sunny morning, that to me is heaven, but that magic from the music isn't only from them. It's some kind of invisible reaction made up of your past, your present, and maybe even things to come. I don't know if you've seen Paul's Carpool Kareoke but I cried once, still do, and suspect I'd do the same in his house! Love your description of the Scouse accent as destabilising 😁
