The dream band for us was the Beatles already, can't get better than that.

He would also need Dylan to write the songs.

I don’t know about Ringo? When McCartney was fleshing out the first Wings album he had John Bohnam Sit in for a pre production jam on the song “beware my Love”it’s definitely a live practice but you can immediately tell Bonzo was on the drums!

That wasn't for the first Wings album. This was during the "Speed of Sound" sessions and he wasn't planning on him joining Wings obviously. He already had a great drummer and Bonham was already in Led Zeppelin. And his version of "Beware My Love" was nowhere as good as the Wings' drummer Joe English version. He wasn't suited to the Wings style but for rock he was a legend.

@@Nordicroo It was a pre production demo/practice and Bohnam literally just kept the beat as a favor to Paul and Bohnam liked Wings and ofcourse there was no discussion of joining or recording with them it was just a favor between friends but don’t ever think that Wings drummer couldn’t be Bohnams roadie!

@@basher5107 Joe English is a very talented drummer. He was far better for Wings than what Bonham could ever have been. Two very different drummers. Bonham, as great as he was, was a very one dimensional drummer mostly suited for rock and blues. But think what you want. People often think of their heroes as greater than what they were or are. Bonham would have been lost trying to play jazz. Don't get me wrong here. I love Bonham, but I'm not fooled into thinking he was the greatest drummer. People only think of drummers from successful bands, as if less successful bands couldn't also have great drummers. LOL!

@@Nordicroo John Bohnam grew up on Jazz and big band, your talking out of your butt. I saw Buddy Rich in 78 third row,I think we can both agree he had some skill on a drum set, certainly made an impression on me and he threw a compliment at Bohnam because he was much more than the drummer of LZ but truly was an all around talent and it wasn’t based on being loud or a “one trick pony” I’m not going to indulge you with a response on things you know nothing about, your opinion is acknowledged

@@basher5107 You obviously haven't a glue as to Bonham and jazz. That he incorporated a few minor jazz licks here and there does not mean he could play like a true jazz drummer. Keep pulling crap out of YOUR BUTT if it makes you have. I've wasted enough time on your dribble.

Other than his band with Rusty , Abe and the boys, who I think are fantastic, I think MY version of his dream band would include Levon Helm, Felix Cavaliere, Dino Danelli, Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, Bonnie and Bekka Bramlett, Cory Wells, Jack Bruce, Bobby Whitlock and Chuck Leavell.

If John, George, and Ringo all couldn't stand "working for" Paul I highly doubt Hendrix would be down with it.

All 4 musicians are great but all 4 as a band is a totally different thing. I can't see Ringo playing drums in a Jimi Hendrix band
