XmenMagnetoAcolytes it’s funny you say that because I’m a kid growing up... and I for sure can say fuck you man, I listened to both. But Foo’s are more popular with my generation because they are still making music. Nirvana isn’t, they haven’t made a song since 1994. You have no idea what you’re talking about. They are both timeless, but one decided to stick around, while the other burned out really bright and quickly.

@@Juanenjupiter Kurt said he didn't like Paul but I have a feeling it was because of how Paul was portrayed for many years until more recently. I think if Kurt was still alive his opinion would have changed. Some people for a long time just thought of Paul's music as "muzak" because Lennon said it and Lennon was Kurt's hero. Public opinion has been changing a lot in the last 20 years or so. Also the only Beatles song that he covered was Paul's And I Love Her. So basically I think Kurt had this "image" in his head of what McCartney was, and it was wrong.

Xander Rose Nirvana made really good music and i loved cut me some slack with paul mccartney but tbh i think the only reason they even got the grammy was because of paul the beatles will forever get the best treatment and love in the world

I've been writing music since i was a kid and have learned much from the Beatles, Zeppelin, Police, Nirvana, Hendrix, Camilo Sesto, Jaguares, Bach, Stones, the Doors, Floyd, Tupac, Bob Marley, Alan Parsons, Steely Dan, and the list goes on. These guys have influenced everyone and will never be replaced. 12 original songs. Hope you enjoy, Charles Droulet

I love this whole thing. It makes me want to tear up that the younger age group like Grohl hugs McCartney, the age group that my mom loved listening to back when he was the Beatles.

Well, here in Los Angeles in 2021, it’s 60 years or so since Paul McCartney wrote the Rolling Stones first single. In 2019 he played Dodger Stadium, with special surprise guest Ringo Starr, and it was overwhelmingly electric from start to finish. It was 50 years from the Tate-LaBianca murders, and the release of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and Paul and Ringo played a balls-out rendition of Helter Skelter. Infamously Dodger Stadium was one of the last places The Beatles played live because of course no one, the band, anyone, could hear any music and it was descending into chaos. In 2019, you could sense a little danger, it was so emotional. Lastly, last night, here in LA, the Rolling Stones played our brand-new state of the art 70,000 seat indoor-outdoor stadium and it was exhausting just thinking about how they can possibly perform like they can. They landed here at our tiny Burbank Airport and did an old-school local reporter’s press conference right off the plane that was so Rock’N’Roll. All that, AND the Dodgers won last night! A great moment, rising from this pandemic, to be an Angeleno. Cue Randy Newman’s “I Love LA”.

Historically speaking my favorite band is Muse and I love Panic Station. But Paul and Dave and Pat and Krist absolutely fully deserve it. The song is crazy and awesome and Paul really still had pipes. Still does, honestly, when you hear him on a good day. And he really still is fundamentally that boy he was with the Beatles.
