Too bad you could never have told him in person. Paul would've been happy to hear that. He was never sure if his fans liked him. Paul suffered from depression, and constant bouts with obesity. Paul Lynde was extremely funny and a legend granted, but they were both equally funny people. The problem in each installment is they kept stalling and wasting time valuable to contestants trying to win games and have time for secret square rounds in a 30 minute game. All the panelists are increasingly funny, I think the they should have 10 to 15 seconds to answer. Contestants 10 to 15 to AGREE or disagree.

Truly Hollywood’s best funny man. Quick with the cracked answer and filled with humor.
At 27:19 --> " Look who's talkin', beaver face!" *LMAO!!!!*
What a funny man! So quick witted. He basically played himself in Bewitched.

My mother appreciated Paul Lynde's humor. As a youth, I found him too sarcastic for taste. With age, he has resonated, and I am so happy that I can still appreciate his sarcastic twist of humor. He is/was/still is, a great comedian

This is so wonderful, gives us the chance to see him again. He was an excellent comedian and died too young🕯️🥀 FYI: That question about a newborn turning ‘very yellow’ wasn’t quite detailed enough. Very yellow to me (maternity nurse) means severe, which needs to be treated or brain damage is a possibility. Now if it means mild -moderate, the answer was ok. NOT - - if there was severe jaundice‼️ Edit: thanks for this video presentation❣️
these are some of the best lines, and sure miss my friend Paul but these really bring him back and love that Rose Marie laughs so hard at his jokes.

I don't know if there's a recording preserved of this but my favorite Paul Lynde quip of all time was this: Peter: Paul, true or false, Disney Studios has produced a sex education film? Paul: That's true and guess what happens when Pinocchio tells a lie. (By the way, it was true.)
I love Paul Lynne 💘
Paul Lynde (RIP) was a comic genius. Nobody watches any of the other celebrities on HS for their funny answers; only Paul Lynde. Man was he fast with his answers. You KNOW that there were answers he WANTED to say out loud but they would have been censored. One of my favorite lines he did was for the question: On a boat, when someone falls over the side, you say, "Man overboard". What do you say when a woman goes overboard? PL: Full speed ahead!🤣

Paul Lynde was great at the time and NO ONE really knew he was Gay. He was just an excellent comeback king with the one liners and a great actor and comedienne. Even today in 2020 people are laughing at his one liners while he is wearing a Leisure Suit larry shirts that were popular in 1979. If you recall during the closing credits, it was mentioned that the questions were given to the stars in advance. Paul did know the questions, but he came up with most of the responses himself. This was also so censors could review answers first. His comic delivery was second to none, that’s why he was copied by so many others.

Whaddya think peter marshall s job was
Paul Lynde was insane!, my fav line from him is when he was on Bewitched, he was Samantha's uncle, I think in the scene she wanted him to do something and they were sitting on the couch and Paul said he couldn't do whatever cause his feet were killing him , the camera pans to his feet and mounted on both feet were guns, pointed at him, and shooting, 😂😂😄 , it was so corny, but it was something people always, ALWAYS said, never occurred to me you know, my feet were actually trying to kill me, like with a weapon,!!, lol totally Vaudevillian, too much,..he was so crazy funny, him Jonathan Winter, Phyllis Diller, Carol Burnett, Sid Ceasar, Don Rickles, fun crazy times in the 70's,. Peace ✌
What a sweet guy, with impeccable comedic timing. Died far too young, alcoholism was very common among that generation of gay people because of such a hostile society.
My favorite answer was the loneliest people were Chrysler dealers
“Did women say they enjoy love making?” “Who cares?”
It’s the ones that he first thought of that he wouldn’t say that I want to really hear.
When paul said a carton of cigarettes it may also been funny if he said its a bad habit lol.
One of my most all. time favorite classic shows ...boy do I miss these times !. Not only this but Uncle Arthur on Bewitched SO endearing !.
I saw the opening with Phyllis Diller I swear I thought it was Boy George!
In a biography, it was stated that the zingers were actually written for the celebrities ahead of time. However, it is in the delivery, which Paul definitely was a king at doing.
his best line ever was, when a man falls overboard they say man overboard. what do they say when a woman falls overboard. "full speed ahead".

When I see Paul Lynde I think of Bobby Kennedy. The resemblance is eerie. As a kid I thought he was a Kennedy.
My sarcasm is like this guy 😂😂 😂💀
Paul Lynde was extremely funny and a legend granted, but they were both equally funny people. The problem in each installment is they kept stalling and wasting time valuable to contestants trying to win games and have time for secret square rounds in a 30 minute game. All the panelists are increasingly funny, I think the they should have 10 to 15 seconds to answer. Contestants 10 to 15 to AGREE or disagree.
