After we got married we rented a house in East Brisbane which was so close to the neighbours you couldn't swing a cat without hitting both houses. Every Sunday morning we would try to have a sleep in but the neighbours didn't care about that and would put music on loud right opposite the bedroom window. The big problem with this intrusion was that almost every Sunday it would Mr Kelly that woke us and as said to the missus you complain about being woken up by such amazing music and that was in 96 thank goodness we moved because every so often they would play the bloody Corrs....

Hot dam, Dan IS the man! My favourite part to sing along to and my personal favorite song by Paul Kelly, hands down! As someone who's been through recovery it is so easily relatable and it really hits that sensitive spot everytime I hear it. I sang this song to my mother to both acknowledge and apologise for my wrongdoings and it brought us all to tears. That's the beauty of, and the difference between, an artist and a storyteller. Paul's songs are so beautifully painted in the most amazing combinations of simplicity and complexity, but always raw, honest truth and a pure Aussie spirit that I just admire and adore. Loved this version of Careless.👏👏 ❤🙏💯✌
