Legends say Paul still wants to become “Transport Supremo”. RIP sir. Indeed, a life well lived.🙏

He is wonderful and now reaches many younger generations. I was not old enough to watch his performances when they were on tv. He is somehow an actor that managed to convey a human frailty and modesty that is touching and hilarious. I hope that if his family ever read these comments they see how much his life impacted others.

Yes, yes, and yes. He's just a superb example to all of us of everything that's good about people, and, thanks to his wonderful talent and work, he always will be.
Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister were my favourite comedies. Paul Eddington was a class act.
Behind every successful man is a great woman. Thank you for making him stick with acting, Tricia.
Great actor and fun was his ability to show the writers lines to life for enjoyment by all.
A charming man we miss all these lovely people
Paul eddington was a class act when it came to acting and gentleman

I'm watching him right now, in an episode of one of my favourite series - Danger Man. R.I.P.
thank you for sharing!
Brilliant in the role of Jim Hacker. Left his mark in a positive way.
Hilarious. Loved that show. All 4 of them were excellent.
thank you
Best Prime Minister Britain's ever had.
can't believe he was Will Scarlett as well! he may not have won the BAFTA as Jim Hacker, but he's clearly won hearts in his lifetime
Felicity Kendal 😍
What a brilliant beautiful
Brilliant comedy acting They dont make comedy like that any more
I love this man. His politics. His humanity.
I'm not sure where Paul lived, but I think I have seen him a few times (obviously, in the past) at the Blue, in Bermondsey (south east London)....
❤❤❤
I replied to a comment in which the claim was made that Paul was an "innocent comedian" at the beginning of a "corrupt media". I'm not sure I've come across quite so many falsehoods in one short sentence. It's not unfair to call Paul Eddington a comedian, although it's largely incorrect and sells him rather short. He was an actor who was equally at home in comedy or drama. What an audience considers as breadth, an actor considers as depth. But it's the notion of the media as newly corrupt that is ripe for scorn. The media have been as they are for as long as the business has been a profit making exercise.
👍
I was not aware that he had passed away.

He died about 16 years before your comment.
