    That was different and unique. Chambers plays the melody while Philly Joe keeps time. Near the end, they trade eights and continue to amaze. Just beautiful.

    Excellent recording, thanks! However, photo 00:46 and 04:28 is not of PC but that of his cousin and another great Detroit bass player Doug Watkins.

    No one Had a better brush Sound than Philly Joe and Elvin and I guess IT was NOT the recording equipment.

    That is chambers I almost didn't recognize him the sound of his bass is different but I hear some of his phases and licks

    Chambers arco is great, but I love the pizzicato. Oh, yeah, Philly isn't bad either.

    @@user-uc4jr4sp2x I stand corrected. I confused it with the Quartet version on Bass On Top which indeed is with A.T. As @crd1098 points out, this previously unreleased duo version is actually on a Fresh Sounds release Westlake Bounce The Music of John Graas (FSR-CD 508)
