I disagree. There are tons of talented actors and singers out there. What we don't have are the talented television and stage writers who can do good much less great sketches for variety and comedy shows. Just look at Saturday Night Live which has been on my whole adult life. Most of what has been on there since 1975 has been only fair at best. Yet they don't do many shows each year and they have a long list of writers with separate ones for Weekend Update. Every week you can see squandered acting talent on that show. There's dozens of excellent actors wasted on those special effects and cartoon movies too.

Such talents are becoming rare today. They are all very good. Paul is incredible, such a talented composer too. Sad to see how things went worse regarding music nowadays.

This is the kind of tv shows that they should bring back. Funny, full of talent, and very entertaining.

Exactly! Where are the variety shows now? No hullabaloo type deals where celebrities performed songs and did bits. I'm 36 and I miss this era as if it was my own as well.

What a gem of a video! Michael Buble singing to Paul Anka brought me here and put a smile on my face. Bringing me back to the good ole days when life was simple and fun.

Just two years earlier, at age 17, Ottawa Ontario born Paul Anka was touring with Buddy Holly. One year later Paul's composition for the Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson was played every week night for 30 years. Quite an accomplishment for a kid. There was lots more. Paul sure did it His Way.

He sure is!!! So boyish!!! In high school my bff was an Elvis fan and I was paul's...we'd write notes to each other and exchange them at assembly period. Her note for me opens with dear paul, love Elvis and mine to het opens with dear el, love Paul...we are both in our 70's now and shes still El and I'm still Paul .

Cuando vino después de muchos años a Arg él hno papá de Nancy Anka quiso verlo que se alojara en su casa ni siquiera acepto un encuentro con ningún familiar !!! Con el público era una cosa con sus familiares una basura .
