I'm so glad this was in my recommendations. The Andrews sisters are one of the best trios along with the Boswell sisters in my opinion

This is a nice nugget of musical history. They've played with some legendary musicians and they themselves are legendary.

Thanks for this ... sure adds a lot to their story. The 3 sisters were musical wonder-workers ... I didn't know they couldn't read music, but they certainly could SING it very well. They left us a gift in their recordings

I just acquired a handwritten note from Patty to Rose Marie. Just to hold something in my hand that was penned and held by these two greats is just amazing!

As a lifelong fan, I can't thank you enough for posting this! What a great conversation and what great stories. It'd be easy to have this conversation eclipsed by the sad breakdown in communication between the sisters, but it sure speaks of a lot of good, shared times together.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank YOU so much for sharing this! It is SUCH a rarity (and I've never heard it before). I am guessing this must have been the last interview they did together?? Because they totally stopped speaking to each other after "Over Here!" in 1974. So sad as Maxene was to live another 21 years -- and Patty was to live 39 years (without speaking to each other!).. [Maxene died 1995, and Patty died 2013]

Not sure if it was the last, they did several in 1974 as they were appearing in Over HEre at the time. ARe you a collector?

@@Shelton1967 yes I am a collector! Sorry for the late reply as I don't very often check messages. But yeah I am a collector. And wrote to Patty about ten years ago and got a reply and a signed photo from her.

We miss them so much thanks for all their recording threats !! We love every second of listening to their songs; each and every Christmass time we listen to their album ( some with Bing Crosby) and our heart instantly are fullfill with that magic feeling for that particular time of the year !!
