"I can't imagine getting excited about that" as a reply to someone telling you about an exciting experience they had is so damn funny to me
This has kind of quickly become the only podcast I never miss.
Fartin' Gary and Famous Mortimer: together again for the first time since the last time 👯♂
I want my tombstone to say "It's Not Delivery, It's DiGiorno"
Patton Oswalt is on the very top of my very short list of people that instantly make everything better just by being there. Also: "Patton Oswalt (The King of Queens)" - really? This guys IMDb page is so long i was to lazy to scoll all the way down. If anything he is "Patton Oswalt (The King of Showing Up Unexpected And Stealing The Show)

@@goosegaskins I actually wrote that comment before watching the entire video and, yes, that might just be a joke that went over my head at that time :) Nevertheless, he truly is the MSG of people. I don't know how he does it, but when he's in it, it becomes instantly better.

@@heinerbremer5509 👍Yeah, they actually have a history of joking about each other's career choices, so that's how I took it. :) Fully agree on Patton-he's the best!
Fun fact Patton Oswalt was actually once considered for the role of Ian Hawke in Alvin and the chipmunks before David Cross ended up landing the part.

We must have a different definition of 'fun fact'
@Tsureiki

@@Tasarran well, fun is subjective but I agree with you. if Mr. Show was close to being "with Patton and David" originally, but Patton pissed on Cross's couch while drunk, ending their relationship for a time, that's a fun fact.

True Friendship Reigns Supreme.
He should have been a politician. He's a genius at what he does, has strong opinions on good ideas. He's a community guy. What am I saying, he probably hates politicians, but he may be the best one we could have. 💎

Patton reminds me of a hardworking mayor or city manager. I bet he would get stuff done.
Omg please please please do a show where comedians cover each others bits 😆
I saw Patton and David at All Tomorrow’s Parties. They curated back to back years
Two of my favorite dudes in the whole world. Love it.
Patton is the best! These dudes together are magical.
Is this the line for the beer or is this the line for the tickets to buy the beer?
So excited for this one!
I love it when the gray wizard is a guest on my favorite talk-em-ups.
I knew Patton had to do a bit about the chairs.

David and Patton, 2 of my all time favorites!!
OMG this is a hilarious episode. I would love to have Patton co-host with you. Together you two are comedy gold!
This was a great one!! Put it on the all time fave. list.
Loving this new podcast
I went to that show he was talking about at bumbershoot for the tinkle show it was amazing
Best one yet!!!!
I love Patton. Thought it was strange when I saw he was the host of that new game show, the 1% Club but I was pleasantly surprised.
This is awesome! Never realized how similar their voices and vibes were, in a great way.
Cross didn't lie when he said "it might not [drop]" and Patton says dates that are over a month before this dropped lmao
My two favorite comedians, happy day.
I would frequent a place called An Arrangemet Of Edibles if it came to my town.
Good answer, Patton. ❤
Amazing shout out to both podcasts, "You're Favorite Band Sucks" and "Cocaine & Rhinestones" (around the 54 min mark)!! The guy Patton mentions as a great historian of country music is Tyler Mahan Coe. The podcast is excellent!
Great show!

DUDE! I was at ATP NY 2009 and have always been SO CURIOUS if it was a memorable experience for you! It's always been in my mind as this kind of high water mark - It all happening in that beautiful Kubrickian relic that was Kutsher's in The Catskills ... the lineup was INSANE, it was SO chill yet SO wasted, artists and fans commingling like we were all cosplaying as students at this dreamlike fantasy derelict high school. FUCK, dude. They DO NOT make 'em like they used to! That shit was FUCKING AWESOME. Thank you for closing the loop! 😂🙏

“Everyone remembers Groucho Marx’s lats.”
Total Eclipse of the Arm!
I remember seeing Patton at Rock against Bush at Slims in SF, probably 2001 or so. Fuck yeah
Oh shit! I was at that ATP when David Cross bombed. I think I've put it out of my head cos it was so painful. Such a tough gig for a comedian to open for a rock band though - not sure that was ever gonna go down well.
Social Distortion reference!!! Yuss!
I discovered Led Zeppelin during the 90's while I was in high school, they've become probably my favorite "classic rock" band of all time, and I swear to god Stairway To Heaven NEVER appealed to me. I like about the last minute of it when it really kicks into high gear, but most of it just does nothing for me. (ftr, When The Levee Breaks is my favorite song of theirs)

12:30 Will Arnett? More like “Will, darn it.” 😂 (You can use that in your act.)
lmao spit-take at doing the Yell to Emma bit on a live show
I remember when this was happening at Largo. Jerry was interviewed ip the street at the silent movie theater around that time… Someone in the audience asked about the film… I don’t remember what Jerry said…
No fake grapes?
how will you top the swalt?! thanks cross & friends!
Man, I miss the UK ATP festivals. Great, great days
Love these 2 together, they genuinely live each other and are hilarious 😂😂 hope Will is ok@! Patton, you're skipping Austin?! Cmon
@dpclerks09

Dude, Austin objectively sucks now. Used to live there, was forced to move/priced out. It's "weird" in a bad way, now... Almost zero traces of the "original culture" left.
I've been chewing on the blue pills as long as Mr. Cross has been a blue man.
The hook of the show is which chair the person sits in!
The Emma call out... I LIVE! Also, Will Arnett is fine... but Patton is an incredible guest.
Dear Patton Oswalt, a year ago or so, I so very randomly had a dream that you were the father of my children. I have no idea why. Anyway, you have 2 (twin) biracial daughters awaiting your return.
Holy Shit! I saw Damn Yankees in Chicago with Jerry Lewis, must have been the same tour, and he did the same thing. It had to have lasted a good 10 minutes or more. It was ridiculous.
Bumpershoot is apparently still around, next one end of August
This is way better than Will Arnette anyway.
God-damn, where is hour 2 and 3 and 4?
They always dodge that Israel Palestine question 😂
If I had a penny for every “uh”.

All hail Aimee Mann! Love to David and Patton tho lol
Oh like the guy in the 5,000 dollar suit’s gunna call David Cross to tell him he cant do his podcast… C’mon!!!
Can't believe they're talking about the Day the clown cried reading after hearing it on "It Was a Sh*tshow Podcast". Also, there was an earlier episode (I think Janeane Garofalo), in which she refers to a show in which David did a bad flip and landed on his back (in that episode he has no memory of this). Patton says here he remembers David doing this in one of the 'The Day The Clown Cried' shows
I do the 'heart/ arm' word substitution thing with 'ticket' and 'chicken.' So you end up with hits like "Chicken to Ride" and "Two Chickens to Paradise." Also, it's really crass, but "eyes" is close to "ice" which sounds like "ass" if the accent is weird enough. So then any song about looking into someone's eyes takes on a rather unsavory bent. Edit: Is the lead singer/ guitarist of Mudhoney now Mark Heart? That 'heart' that's out of a job has to work somewhere.
Didn’t you steal the chipmunks
Oh, you men.
Before it was called "Little Armenia" it was know as The Copious Body Hair District or Jungle Area.
Do a short of ur bit with u on the phone saying the same thing over and over and over and ur daughter laughing hysterically and making u do it to other ppl that was funny idk if it's from the podcast or special
1:00:40 The thing about "Brewster's Millions" is that there's a catch. He has to spend the money in 30 days, but he's not allowed to own any assets, destroy the money, gift it, give it to charity, or tell anyone about the deal. It's not the greatest or smartest movie ever, but it's not as dumb they're making it out to be.
Is there a password to the dark orthotics web?
Got any bluechews samplers, David?
Will the damn bumping sound from someones mic stop?!

The Harold. Del Close
If that wasn't a joke, (if it was, he didn't make it super evident) Good on David for calling out Will for that BS.

Gob pulled a classic hollywood "bigtime" move on David/Tobias, who'da thunkit? Colour Me Unsurprised.
Didn't he used to be Bojack Horseman? 🤔
Bad news about that legendary band in Heaven: the vocalist is God's girlfriend
You would think Patton would know he doesn’t have to hold the mic an inch from his mouth covering up his lower face in the process.
Is this now a rule of grammar? Thank you MUST be followed by so much?
Black Dog isn’t on Led Zeppelin 3.
I'm sure there are some fake grapes just out of shot... OR ARE THERE???
totally different vibe with a live audience. Still awesome tho, just different.
